Because I didn't answer something unrelated you won't answer my question now? We've gone to she can't speak about this country or it's racist? You don't have anything do you? Truth is you have no idea why you're mad at Omar other than the speaky box told you to be right?

She has no right? She's an elected member of congress. How ignorant are you?

Yet she only talks about that one country when it comes to corruption, conveniently leaving out others where there's even more shady dealings that have occured.

This is wrong (unsurprisingly).

He is intellectually very lazy. He claims Omar hates this country but has not even once listened to anything she has said or any of her speeches. He diets on sound bites from FoxNews State TV. And even with the plethora of right wing noise available to him he could not provide a single instance or quote to back up his position.

Of course I'd be lazy about seeing how there are only 2 posters on here that don't lean ultra left, there were 3 but the other got banned for continuing to post evidence that shows how more right the right is (pun intended).

couple of choice quotes here:

“Serving in the era of Trump has few rewards. He has made an already hostile political environment worse. Every day there is some indefensible tweet or comment to defend or explain. It is exhausting and often embarrassing,” the member of Congress said. Even if Republicans were to win back the majority, “our edge would be narrow which means we would live under the tyranny of the Freedom Caucus. Frankly I wonder if this conference is capable of governing.”

You wont hear any argument from me about NY. I'm grateful I dont have to live in NY, Baltimore, DC, Chicago, LA, etc, crazy thing is, all those things have one common trait, its not race, religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, etc, but it is something.

Yea and your warmth and compassion for any of the children in the detention center is a complete farce and political show. Passing a birth canal in a few months or year, I'm sure that's what turns your sympathy radar on.

You never are. I didn't support or find humor in Trump's comments to the 4 congresswomen, I just pointed out how Omar herself had some issues ppl deemed racist.

You can paint all Trump supporters as racist, that's your prerogative. But I'll bet a paycheck I have more a far more diverse set friends in my inner circle than you do. So lines your's up, I'll get mine.

My point is not to berate any of our cities or states. But just point out the duplicity of Trump.

He does the same thing over and over. Someone points out a problem that his administration has created and he immediately attacks - regardless of truth. And then his tweets are defended regardless of how ill suited they are to the situation. I thought pancakes put it best:

But there's also the hypocrisy of Cummings. The caring and heart goes out for migrant children yet being pro choice is blatantly two face. A migrant child passing the womb a mere year or 2 ago isnt more valuable or deserving of empathy than that of a child still in the womb. Same goes for R's who claim to be pro life but support the disgusting acts and treatments we're witnessing at the detention centers.

lol, probably not bro. how many pro-choice friends do you have, and how often do you scream at them that they're murderers? because i have pro-life friends, and i can respect their opinions while maintaining mine because they don't tell me i'm a murderer every time we interact.

how many undocumented friends do you have? would you even know? i have had friends who were deported, even documented friends who were deported because their H1Bs ran out.

how many jewish friends do you have? palestinian friends? arab friends?

how many drug using friends do you have? how many friends who have relied on welfare/unemployment do you have? how many friends who are single parents do you have?

it's hard to imagine that you have any based on how you speak about those people. in fact, it'd be hard to imagine that you have any friends at all, if you spoke to them as candidly as you do with us.

There's the more lies again, there's a difference between being a murderer and supporting the act of murder so you don't have to be accountable for your actions, which is essentially what abortion is (outside of the outliers we already discussed various times). I never called anyone here a murderer. But even in the case of murder, you'll find some excuse for the person in question, you have an excuse for every bad action or deed. There's no accountability in the world of pancake

How many undocumented friends? Yeah I have plenty, and I love them, and they understood why I vote Trump despite what he had said leading up to the election. Actually went to Applebees and had the Malibu Dollarmama with a few of them just last week, you can join us if we do an August one. You just told me to go back to India, you don't think being from India I've been able to connect to and relate with people of Arab/Persian decent? Guess again.

I have Jewish friends, I have Hindu friends, I have SIkh friends, I've actually never really gotten to know anyone that's Buddhist, so I guess you got me there.

Now friends that use drugs? Does that make you special or better or something? Why is that a category in the subject of diversity? No I don't have close friends that use drugs, because contrary to what you believe, using drugs is a choice, and it's a choice I'd rather not be associated with.

This is funny, because the one thing the Republicans fought with some success against Obamacare was the mandate Obama and Congress put in to require everyone who could to PAY for their medical insurance. That's the polar opposite of Socialism - and that's the one thinkg Republicans chose to go after. When push came to shove, they couldn't figure anything else to change about it - despite their constant rhetoric about Obamacare needing to be repealed. What they didn't like about it was the penalty for not paying for insurance. Hypocritical fools.
