This Michigan team is dangerous. Had 2 of their best players out for most of the half in foul trouble, causally rip off a 16-2 run to end the half and crush any momentum Maryland had.

Wagner missed his 3s but did everything else. Smart cuts, great defense, set some great screens. Huge impact on winning. Typical

I am thoroughly enjoying these conference tournaments. Great basketball.

Davion Mitchell is a very disruptive defender. Super speedy.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Jared Butler has had 20 turnovers over the last 4 games. I think he's not as great as I first thought ...

Oklahoma State really exposed Baylor today. Cunningham is going to be even better than Tatum or Jaylen Brown.

Has a great inside outside game that would work with both Beal and Westbrook going forward to develop.

I think he'll go 3rd or 4th, and we actually have a decent chance to get a top 4 pick. The lotto rules could really help us this year. Fwiw, I think it's a 4 man top tier - Kuminga's fallen out of the top tier.

From the limited college games I’ve watched this year, I’m of the opinion that Suggs will be the best player to come out of this draft. His borderline a combo guard with really nice size. His competitive traits would be amazing to combine with Westbrook and have him learn his work ethic off a future hall of famer.
His game translates very well to the nba level and he has the killer instinct in him which is vital. Plays off the ball at times and gets his hands dirty in the paint with rebounds. A great prospect.

But if we don’t trade Beal then I believe Mobley would be a prime target to try and even possibly trade up for if we don’t secure a top 3 pick.
Possibly throwing Bryant and a future 1st pick swap at one of the teams above.

Suggs is definitely great but I think Mobley is the unicorn. Strikes me as a future HOF player,

He’s a better Bosh.

Ayo Dosunmu and McKinley Wright had fantastic performances tonight. Both are future quality NBA guards I think.

Beal with or Suggs, Cunningham or Mobley would be amazing fits. They all fill needs. They all project to eventually be one the best at their respective positions. Suggs especially would be devastating as a potentially efficient 2nd option to Beal and an elite defender in the Gary Payton mold. Mobley would be the two way C we've never had. Cunningham would give us two potential #1 options at the 2/3. That's drool worthy stuff. We really need one of those 3 picks.

And if Beal indicates he doesn't sign an extension. I'm ideally trading him for one of those guys depending on what happens in the lottery.

After that it gets murky. Josh Green looks a potential all-star... at the 2-position. Same position Beal plays. You can play them together for sure but it's not as clean a fit. You could also look at Green as a potential replacement, but only if Beal is unwilling to extend. In that case you take Green and use Beal to get a Suggs, Mobley or Cunningham.

Beyond that I don't think there's any immediate saviors. Just long term prospects and solid role players. I will focus heavily on the wings in the coming weeks. It seems to be a much better group than last year. We also need a PF in the worse way as it gets clearer day by day Hachimura is not one.

Running the lotto simulator, the odds are very good that we end up with at least one top 4 pick, assuming we are willing to trade Beal.

The best-case scenario is that we land a top 4 pick ourselves by being moderately fortunate in the draft. That's quite possible, with us currently looking at 37.2% chance at a top 4 pick.

But if we don't land a top pick ourselves, the odds are fairly high that New Orleans or Orlando lands a top 4 pick, and they'd probably trade it for Beal (particularly New Orleans). There's also a handful of pretty good late lotto teams like Golden State, Indiana or Memphis who have a slight chance of landing a top 4 pick and would probably trade it for Beal. And if none of those scenarios work out, there's still a good chance that the Minnesota pick falls to 4 or 5, and it then goes to Golden State, who would trade it for Beal.

Basically, almost every time you run the simulator, either we land a top 4 pick, or a team who probably wants Beal has a top 4 pick.

Wiseman + Green & stuff for Beal, I'm interested. Wiseman + Kuminga it gets a little sketchy. I think it has to be top 4.

This is great opportunity though. Either for jumpstarting an impressive rebuild by using Beal + our own pick to immediately become a talented young roster or finding a 2nd legit piece to complement Beal.

There's literally zero upside in making a playoff run to get swept other than for appeasing to Beal.

I'm greedy. I love Beal but I'm ready for the losing to continue. I want to walk away this offseason with either Beal + a top 4 pick or (2) top 4 picks.

I've would say Karl Anthony Towns on offense and Myles Turner on D but that's a HOF player.

With all of those picks most likely up for grabs in the 30-40 range, we definitely should move Bertans and possibly buy a pick also. Tankathon has Queta, Dosunmu, and Ayayi all available in that range.

Imagine pairing Suggs&Ayayi together again.

I doubt that Dosunmu is around in the 30-40 range. NBADraft has him mocked at 17 and NBC Sports has him at 23. I think that range is about right.

Watching the Michigan-Ohio State. You’re right about there being a lot to like about Wagner. He’s quicker and more athletic than I realized. Been especially impressed by his D.

I agree. But even if the pick is #5, Golden State might be able to trade up to a top 4 pick before trading for Beal. There's also a chance that Kuminga goes in the top 4, leaving Suggs or Green to fall to 5.

Yeah, you’re probably right. I’m sure his stock continues to rise in March. My point is simply that there will be some really good players in that 30-40 range and a ton of those picks will be moved.

Tough day for Wagner. Shot just didn’t fall. Still impacts the game in a million ways. Michigan lost their 2nd best player and leader for the rest of the season yesterday, such a gut punch.

Ayo Dosunmu is really good. He reminds me a lot of Rondo with his length, athleticism, court awareness, effort, and suspect shooting. If he goes late first or early second, he's a steal. This guy is going to be a 10-year pro.

Not super impressed with Dosunmu in this game. Made some really poor decisions in pivotal moments. Really overdribbles at times. Struggled to get by underwhelming athletes on Iowa. Still got his numbers because of the heavy usage and poor Iowa defense. Kofi Cockburn was the true difference maker.

Ayo was really good early. He had 8 assists and just 1 turnover at one point. Later on, he got careless.
