Re: Official NBA Playoffs Thread
this won't exactly be a revelation for anyone here but as long as
Chalmers >>> Harden, OKC has no chance to win even another game.
Ibaka has been brought back down to earth too.

Re: Official NBA Playoffs Thread
So much for my prediction...
A lot has been made about Lebron and how Wade has performed in stretches, sprinkled in with effusive praise for Battier and now Chalmers. To me though the real story is how Bosh has been performing since game 2.
He's easily the finals MVP for the Heat at this point. He's come up with the tough defensive boards, battled for loose balls, come up with timely blocks and has really hurt the Thunder with his work on the offensive glass.
Not having found an answer for Bosh in 3 straight games is why the Thunder are trailing the series.
The Heat recognized that they played better without Anthony on the floor and sadly, Brooks never made the adjustment by benching Perkins and inserting Collison into the starting lineup.

Re: Official NBA Playoffs Thread
I think Bosh has been the difference-maker also. The Heat's big 3 is just more talented than OKC's, and Miami's role players are playing better as well.
Also with all the defensive assignments on Lebron, I don't understand why Ibaka wasn't given a chance. I'd rather have him than Harden guarding him.

Now it's watching Collison have a great first half (probably the best half of any OKC big this entire series) and then not playing him again. Why wasn't Collison playing more down the stretch? Also, once it was clear that Harden was hesitant and had zero confidence, Brooks should have came back with Fisher IMO. He's not as good, but at least he would have taken the shots.
As an amusing sidebar, I would like to formally request that Rico change his avatar...

I can't quite imagine OKC losing 4 straight either, but with the way the series has been officiated, I just don't see the Thunder with much of a shot.
OKC simply can't match the Heats physicality, and they don't play disciplined enough on offense to win a knock-down-drag-out half court slugfest.
It's so sickening being around all these smug Heat fans down here..

Makes you wish you weren't a fan of the Wizards or the NBA.
Mike Miller should be pleased that he was a UFA after Grunfeld traded for him.
Flip has been long fired. Rashard will get bought out in New Orleans.
Wizard fans got to watch Young, Foye, McGee, and Miller all in the playoffs.
The good news is if I'm living and still a fan of the Wizards this time next season, things won't be THIS bad. You see, I'm looking at becoming a Hornets fan if the Wizards suck. I also like Denver.
So, if I am actually a Wizard fan this time next season things CAN'T be this bad.
Miami freaking Heat are champs. This sucks.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Re: Official NBA Playoffs Thread
The Thunder get it down to 5 just after halftime and they inexplicably stop passing the ball to Durant. Perkins gets continually roasted by Bosh and yet Brooks refuses to go to Collison, who has been effective all series, until the game is already out of reach. And because of these idiots, I now have to listen to LeBron slurping all friggin' summer.

Maybe both teams, winners and losers, can join hands at center court as LeBJ tells the Heat fans, "Tonight, we are all former Wizards."
