With his size, athleticism, bball IQ, shotblocking, passing, ability to run the floor and sometimes disruptive D, Jan could be a valuable asset if he ever learned to shoot. Heck, I'd be happy to get just 8-10 pts a game from him given those other things he brings to the table.

He's so old his high school closed down a few years ago (Towson Catholic).

The way I see it, if Vesely is going to play PF, he needs to get stronger in the lower body and he needs to learn to shoot. Both of those happening seems pretty far-fetched. But if he has the size for center, he really only needs to get stronger in the lower body. A team can get by with a center who can't shoot.

As for the overreacting crowd, so much for Horner being the next stretch four.

Bradley Beal was 14 years old when Greene was drafted.

Booker's little bro has very little defensive awareness. I don't like the rotations of this squad at all. Or the offense. Bunch of chuckers that have absolutely no versatility.

Well, he has about 3 more months to learn the position and the Wiz have less than a year to decide whether he's worth extending. Right now, I'd say no but if he ever decides to put on a serious 10-15 pounds, at a legit 7-feet, you may have to keep him around.

What a joke on the boards this entire game has been for Vesely, Singleton and Booker. No boxing out period.

Nothing like getting benched in a SL game. Way to go Jan!

I actually don't blame Jan that much for that asinine play, he's hardly got any touches. No excuses though for his inability to box out though. No excuses either for the terrible effort by our front court defensively. The amount of penetration in this game is hilarious.

That one series under the basket was ridiculous. Not liking Booker's lack of assertiveness on defense and on the boards.

What about the end of the half when he blindly inbounded the ball and threw it away for a layup after they just scored on him. He's been terrible in the first 3 quarters. Hopefully he ends strong.

Those were terrible too, and he just made a dirk-like shot. I think he'd be better served playing with guys that know how to pass though.

we should be down 20. I only want them to beat em so we could see how CHA would thrash us. Zeller/Biyombo should abuse Vesely/Singleton like hell.

True but this is summer league. There's a lot of garbage on the floor. He can control the game on the boards and defensively even if he's not getting the ball offensively. I think he's kind of floating through this one.

I think that quick benching woke Vesely up.
