he says this quite a bit

He doesn't say it that often, the only other time I can remember is the Kings game when he outright blew the game. But it's always good to hear him put it on himself, nonetheless

Unfortunately he saw no problem with the threes and said he'd take them again. Delusions of being a jumpshooter..

Eh. Three of the four 3s were wide open shots. Only one was a hero-ball contested POS shot.

Question for those of you who were able to see the entire game: Was it just me, or did Nene seem a little lethargic on defense? It seemed like rotations were slow on the back side, and Hibbert was getting strong positioning because Nene wasn't fighting him very hard before the ball got there.

I only saw quarters 2 and 4, though... so maybe I just caught a few bad plays.

Wall in his last 12 games is averaging 14.25ppg while shooting 57-166 for 34.3%, and 4-21 for 13.9% on 3's

just in a terrible funk in that stretch. Has to find that touch again. The sad part is like the previous 2 and a half months he was getting 20 & 9 on nearly 46% from the field and had one of the highest 3pt percentages in the leageue coming out the All star game. It sucks even more because this is the 1st time alot of people are getting to see him play and most just judge you by scoring & shooting so they think he's crap when he was really lighting the league up and playing better then nearly any PG in the league for a whole 2 months prior

Oh well, learning experience I guess.. Too bad they gave Indy hope in the process. Going up 2-0 on the road again wasn't favorable anyway, but it was there for the taking if they were a little smarter and a little better at the line.. Live and learn, hopefully!

They just didn't play hungry or with any urgency. Honestly, they deserved to lose.

I love John Wall. That postgame interview was great. Always takes the blame. Says he lost the game for the team. Usually when he does that he comes out aggressive. More importantly he volunteered without even being asked about his defense. Thats leadership. He said he didnt play good defnese. I know he will come out harder next game. I also like the way he broke down everything that was happening. Tells me he studies the game alot

Meh game by Wall + bad FT shooting + lol refs = we lose by 4? Tough to see them let this slip away but I hope this was a good wake up call for JDub.

We played like sh*t, the refs did everything in their power to make Hibbert forget that PG nutted in his gf, and they only just stuck with us, never blew us out, and won and game by a small margin.

I still think we gonna win this series in 6.

Sorry Gaga.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

George, Stephenson, and West also did nothing, you think that's gonna continue?

This series looks like it's going 7, too early to pick a winner.

yes I actually do. Stephenson is not a huge scorer and the other 2 guys are guarded by our best defenders who shut down alot of guys. The problem is Wall is showing non signs of getting out of his scoring funk either

Stephenson averaged 14, 7 and 5 during the regular season. This game he got.... 12, 7, and 5.

Yes, I think that will pretty much continue.

Playoffs 34/104

32% for the playoffs.

Against the Pacers for the season/playoffs

23/77 29% 12 ppg

Yeesh.

Just a decent game from Wall and the Wizards win.

Either he's lost confidence, needs another year to be ready for playoff basketball, fatigued, or Whitman has no clue how to help a young PG through their struggles.

The good news..

He's gotta bounce back and have a huge game...right? He's gotta break out of the slump eventually. However, in terms of his overall game....Indiana has had his number this year. Is George Hill that great of a defensive player?

And that is the key. And people have killed me for it. I was/am one of biggest Wall supporters last year. Said he was the best young PG in the game (look it up)

After mixed results (imo) early....he stepped and performed like the best young PG in the east. (maybe best overall)

There are expectations for Wall. He's too talented to struggle like this. Its why I pointed out..."Yea..but Wall is struggling in the 2nd half of games.." and people got upset.

He's tight. He needs to be relax and play ball.

Call me crazy. But I want to see some Westbrook out of Wall.

The hell with it. Take the game over. Put it on his shoulders and let the team live and die by him.

He's gotta build those habits. He's a max player and a player with superstar POTENTIAL. Its ok to fail...but you gotta fail with the burden. LeBron had to learn that. KD had to learn that. DROSE before getting hurt learned that.
This passive, role player "I'm more of a 3 than a 1 on a very good team" has got to step.

Wall has the swagger. Randy just has to take of the shackles and let him go.

bealwithit wrote:Okay, criticizing Wall for tonight is okay, but acting like we "paid the wrong guy" or that he sucks is stupid. It's one game. The series isn't over. We took 1 from them at home. We're going home for 2 where we can go up 3-1. The Pacers are not the same team on the road.

One thing is for sure.....The Wizards paid the right guy. The right guy just isnt playing up to his potential.

Wall has lost his confidence and Randy doesnt know how to help him.

Wall needs to show that KILLER INSTINCT and ATTACK.

I'm talking DWADE or DROSE style. Relentless to the hoop...shoot 13 Fts....see the ball go through the net...get some frigging confidence and go to work.

He's shook. And he's gotta snap out of it. Just gotta hope that it doesnt take Wall being backed into a corner to finally TAKE OVER.

Team ball is fine.

All stars get you to the ECF (see Paul George last year)

Superstars get you to the finals (see LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, etc. etc.)

At this stage of his development. Wall should be good enough to will a team this talented to the ECF.

He's not ready for the Heat (imo...and yea thats some bias..but real talk as well)

But he can get through the Pacers. Beal wants it. Hopefully Wall will to.

He hasn't been the same since the Charlotte game, the one where he bitched about Kemba getting calls.

I think he started to believe his own hype (with the ASG, dunk contest, commercials etc). Paul George admitted that he did this year, and him and Wall are the same age both young franchise players.. just a learning process I guess

are you trolling? I told you last game that its not true. Its only been 12 games including the 7 playoff games. Before that he was shooting very well for over 2 months
