President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

And incompetent. You might be bad at your job if... you're a Republican Congressman who Lindsey Graham compares to Inspector Jacques Clouseau.

Nunes once wrote a letter to my aid agency complaining that we were helping poor Moroccans switch from subsistence agriculture to growing olives, because Morocco exports olives to the United States, allegedly hurting olive growers in his district in California.

Ask Melania, she knows. She never wants to touch that guy's hand. Now if only we could get him to touch his self. Though even that he pays people to do for him.

I don't know when a "clump of cells" becomes a human life with rights, but I think we should err on the side of assuming that threshold to be pretty early, while still allowing a woman enough time to recognize that she is pregnant and to decide what she is going to do about it.

I'd like to see an updated Supreme Court decision guarantee that abortions are legal during the first 6 weeks and abortions are illegal after 12 weeks, unless the life of the mother is at stake. What the rules are between weeks 6 and 12 should be up to the States.
See, I view it a bit differently. Pro choice and pro life aren't mutually exclusive. Almost nobody is actually pro abortion. When it gets to that point we're already talking about no good options.

The thing is, the focus should be on stuff that actually reduces abortions. Sex education, contraception, reducing poverty, tilting the balance of power away from abusers, dealing with parental supports without getting derailed by men's rights talk, etc. I see a lot of pro life advocates who don't support any of that stuff, or suggest those are good goals but we should ban things first. In reality, nothing will change unless those are all issues that are tackled. Anyone who is focused on something that isn't a variation of some of those issues or maybe a couple others I'm missing here is more interested in punishing abortion or pregnant women in extreme circumstances than they are in actually reducing abortions.

*Everything* Planned Parenthood does is statistically significantly proven to reduce incidence of abortion. If you were serious about reducing abortion, you would fully fund PP.

Oh no, support for democracy is declining world wide! Could it possibly be the world is looking at "democracy" in the United States and deciding it was a failed experiment?

Biden needs to make the point about the importance of Democracy to Manchin and Sinema.

Almost like the goal isn’t to eliminate abortion but to eliminate alternatives to having children.

Or both eliminating the possibility of not falling into poverty if you have kids and making sure you have them.

No the goal is to rely on a pack of easily manipulated single-issue voters to reliably show up at the polls. How can any moral human being be against "LIFE"!!!?

Beyond that nothing else matters except having a convenient enemy and occasionally throwing a bone to that core group. Once you label PP as the boogeyman then anything they do must necessarily be evil. If they are for common sense, then you needs must be against common sense.

This is what happens when you give right wing ideologues any type of power. Is this going to be a wake up call for women? For Democrats, Independents and basically any sane Republican that doesn’t want to live in a corrupt one party state? This is why the whole mentality of both parties are bad is childish and idiotic.

The Failed United States of America.

It's going to take a blue state to outlaw gun possession with an end around of this nature to get the supreme court radicals to come to its senses.

FWIW, the timing of this is such that it looks like they started working on it pretty much the moment the Texas law came out.

Can't believe how stupid the GOP is. Both sides have strayed away from doing stuff like this because it cuts both ways. It's not that we respected the other side and didn't want to hurt them. It's that we didn't want them to hurt us. But if they want to play this game ... yeah why not come after your guns then? Congratulations on winning the fight on abortion - now sign on to this national registry.

The perversity of this all, Republicans will end up weaponizing this exact response to ratchet up the outrage on single voter issue no. 2. gun control whilst conveniently ignoring that the assault on the constitution they love to accuse the democrats of has been championed and developed by conservative think tanks.

The the Supreme Court will strike down laws to outlaw gun possession with a straight face and not even think twice. We’ve passed the point of no return. It’s a court full of radical, right wing extremists. Thomas and Alito were just lying in wait till they had the numbers to carry out their insane right wing agenda. The court has turned into a joke under Roberts and he knows it.

Remember Republicans are the party that always want to destroy and dismantle the Federal government but go running to the Federal government when they need something. The whole Libertarian mindset is laughably childish.
