Illinois vs Loyola... wow. It's tough playing a team with Krutwig, because ya just assume he's a big doughy goofball. You're not prepared that he can do things like knock the ball out Ayo's hands. He's actually a skilled player who not only gets his teammates excited but completely befuddles the opposition. I don't think that'll work in the NBA, but it definitely does in college. That was fun, but poor Illinois. Big Kofi did real well offensively, but his defensive deficiencies were obvious. Tough game for Ayo - he was obviously the focus of Loyola's defense.
Darius Songaila. Cameron Krutwig is just like him. He can very effectively play center even if he’s only about 6 foot seven.
Ayo got kayoed and Cofi got cockblocked. They just got Krutwigged.
Cameron Krutwig has an appearance just made for movies and tv. He looks like a cross between the late John Candy and Richard Kuklinski, The Ice Man. I read he carries a harmonica a la Dan Ackroyd/John Belushi. He obviously rocks a nice mustache.
I’m now rooting for UIC to make another run to the Final Four as long as they don’t face Maryland.
