Re: Official Trade Thread Part XLV
How would we feel about the nicks trading for Beal and we got all 4 of their protected extra picks, some extra seconds
With rose , even, and jeffries, roby. And McBride.
They loose nothing from their rotation! They given up none of their own picks. That might be the best deal on the table and I think they do that deal. It falls apart the year after but man that is a killer team. With all that depth you add Beal to a play off team and loose no rotation pieces and only send out protected, second round assets and 1 year deals on guys who don't play much.

Guessing that Beal and his wife would rather go to Miami than New York, which covets him as well. If we can get two first-round picks for him in the deal and not get a horrible contract for some washed player, I'd be fine with it.

But jovic, Lowery and oladipo works lol and we can ask for more picks like 18 and a future first and 2 seconds or something.

Herro's contract works out and while I wouldn't mind a Knicks deal, Brad has to approve of it. If he has the choice with his three kids and high-maintenance wife, I'm sure they take the warmer weather over NYC. Unless he wants the brighter lights of MSG. Not a Herro fan either, but I don't think we're going to get a very good deal with this contract. I do want the picks. I don't really care about the players involved. Jovic is intriguing though.

That's why I think hero is a non starter, because beals gonna want him there. Beal and hero can do the combo back court thing that Portland did for years with a better supporting cast of wings and bigs. But Lowery and oladipo are expendable so in jovic. Beal wants to win and help the team. So dropping him on to a contender that can then bring back the entire rotation and starters is huge. Miami and NYK are really the only places that can do that.80sballboy wrote:gambitx777 wrote:I have no interest in Tyler hero.80sballboy wrote:

Winger ain't playing. They weren't wrong when they said he would be aggressive. That doesn't mean there will be any serious trades before the draft, but it appears he's on the hunt.

Huh? Why would Beal want Herro in D.C.? He probably has Vincent, Martin, Strus, maybe Robinson, etc, plus a number one option in Jimmy and a number two or three in Bam. They nearly won a title without Herro. Add Beal and he could be the difference.

Yeah and hero is really good. Miami can bring everyone back and not get any major penalties till next year when the new rules really hit.80sballboy wrote:gambitx777 wrote:That's why I think hero is a non starter, because beals gonna want him there. Beal/Hero/martin/ jimmy/ bam
Or
Gab/Beal/hero/ jimmy/bam
Or
Gab/Beal/Jimmy/Love/bam
That's some of the best starting line ups on the leage.
Having Beal/hero/Jimmy and bam
Looks a lot like
Ray Allen/lebron/ wade / bosh
Not as great not that's a killer line up
Beal and hero can play together and if the idea is to load up for a tittle you load up. Keeping hero and giving an extra pick and some seconds is the way to go cu Tyler hero may have been hurt but Lowery oladipo and jovic did nothing healthy lol .

I'd honestly rather watch a 22-win team with young players who give me hope, than watch a 35-win team that has no hope whatsoever.
I want to see a legitimate championship contender in DC at least once before I die. I've experienced the 22 win with young players who give hope before. I remember John Wall doing the dougie when he was introduced. I'm good.

Who knows what's going to happen, but these guys have definitely got my attention! & the attention of other GMs as well, I bet. Which means that people are going to start coming their way with potential deals....
If both Brad & Kuz are gone by the start of the season, it will be jaw-dropping!

I'm all ears if you guys have trade ideas that make sense between the Bucks and Wizards here lol. Bucks would have to add salary in addition to Jrue or Middleton to make it work financially and I don't think that really makes sense for the Bucks and obviously doesn't make sense for Washington in a rebuild either. Would seemingly have to be a three-team deal.

So are you suggesting there is a better path to "championship contender" that doesn't involve tearing it down? What are you even complaining about here?

Yeah, Milwaukee has NOTHING to offer. Why is anybody even wasting energy mentioning them?

I suppose there's a world where (Insert 3rd Team) sends Washington the assets they want and Jrue/Middleton + Grayson/Pat/Bobby go to that third team but I don't really like the idea for Milwaukee personally and it would obviously depend on what the 3rd team is providing for Washington.
