D Arthur supposedly has undisclosed kidney problem, according to Ric Bucher on ESPN.

Perhaps that is why is the only one left in the green room?

Hey, if you're going to take a chance on guys like Pecherov and McGee you might as well try to pick up Arthur.

Now go to ANY team that made a draft pick in this draft and say the SAME THING.......If the player plays to their potential....with the current roster....WoW, what a lineup!! Duuuhhhhhhhhh!!

hermitkid: Personally, I wanted our Wiz to pick Courtney Lee, but...

Greene, Chalmers, etc. still on the board when we picked.

EG fans - hard to defend this decision...

Honestly, I thought Nick came off as an imbecile and thought he'd be an immature shotjacker.

Jamison did have to rearrange the locker room due to maturity issues and Nick didn't seem to have a high basketball IQ.

I KNOW I was spewing haterade as well last year, prior to realgm crashing on draft night back then. But HONESTLY, Nick Young had a pretty good run at USC and he was only down on my list because of Almond and at the last minute Belinelli.

Okay, I hated the Young pick and was wrong. But I didn't really, really hate that pick like I TOTALLY DESPISE this McGee pick.

The more I learned about McGee beyond his parents being coaches and his height the more I came to see his numbers and intangibles adding up to complete bust. I

Young wasn't a terrible selection despite my protestations last year.

McGee is laughingly bad.

Nice try smartass. Mcgee had the highest upside when we picked so, no, you are completely wrong.
I'm sure Phoenix fans are sitting there thinking "Holy ****, in 3 years we could have the next Brian Grant! NBA championship, here we come!"

I'm not saying Ernie hasn't and won't make a mistake. I'm saying I trust him over any realgm poster, including yourself. You might feel as though that's some sort of diss (and it isn't) but that is the truth. Maybe down the line, you'll be right, and Ernie is wrong, but what I do know is that Ernie was right last year, and most of you were wrong big time. That's how i pretty much feel about this pick and the reactions.

Woah there big boy. Lets not act like Nick Young is the 2nd coming now. Dude is still pretty much a one trick pony. He can score....but he doesn't even do it at an efficient rate! He's a ball hog and has tunnel vision. Compared to the rest of the rookies in the league last year he's nothing special.

Dude has mega talent and a one-track mind. Until he becomes multi-dimensional he's going to be someone that shows a flash here and there but won't really help a team win games.

Ernie's record w/ 1st rounders is shaky at best. He's better off trading his 1st rounders and sticking to the 2nd round picks.

Ivan Carter says he's 7-6...if that were the case (he's 'only' 7-0), I think many of us would feel better

For all we know, we would have taken Hibbert had he been on the board, but still, Ernie has a fetish for gangly 7-foot projects.

Arthur finally going to the Blazers, how-much talent can the Blazers stock-pile?

Ernie basically admitted if Hibbert was there, he would have taken him. It's clear as day.

So is it safe to say that EG got flustered when his Roy boy toy got selected one pick ahead of the Wiz?

Arthur just took a shot at Washington with the health issue...seems like he has a chip on his shoulders with Wiz already!!

They might have been pretty surprised Big Hib came off the board... yes, I believe Roy would have been our guy... as would have been Karl Malone (one pick before Kenny Green, right?) and Caron Butler (one pick after Ared Efferies... oh well, atleast that one ended well).

I don't get it, are you denying his potential? I'm pretty sure that is solely why EG drafted him and for that he can't be faulted. If you think because of character issues and intangibles that he won't improve much or come close to his potential then that's fine, but I think you are just way to sure about this person you've never met. It is a swing for the fences and only time can really tell on a pick like this.

I stopped watching.

What did Arthur say?

I don't like the kid already. Bro, Washington wasn't the only team who passed you up.

So we should give him credit for what he would have done?

That's like saying if Michael Beasley was sitting at #18, EG probably would have taken him...
