If Seraphin can play as effectively as Schortsanitis (Baby Shaq) does in international play, then Seraphin will really help the Wizards this season.

The Greek wide-body can ball.

Really? I've only seen Shortsy play in Summer League ball, and he was bad to the point that I wondered how he even got a look by any NBA team. He is ginormous though - If I was Vince McMahon, I'd give him a call.

I don't know why he stank-up the joint (on-purpose perhaps?), we had no-answer for him in 2006? when the Greeks embarassed us. Shorts did get a contract from Maccabi, one of the better Euro teams so....???

I have a bad feeling about this-years FIBA for us, can a lack of size by the U.S. be overcome in enough games against the better teams?.....and I've read that the refs have been horrible.

I guess some guys are made for Euro ball and not for US ball. I think he's got about as good a shot at making an NBA roster as Albert Haynesworth. He's sorta built like him - just a couple inches taller.

Lame fight. After backpeddling farther than Carmelo vs Jeffries and Haywood vs Antonio Davis combined, Krstic flings a chair and bangs the wrong guy upside the head.

Krstic needs to be banned from competition for that.

Krstic was actually arrested by Greek police. Chair-throwing is the biggest sissy move ever.

I'd really like to see a complete, healthy, French team play at some point:

Parker, Pietrus, Batum, Diaw, Noah. Beaubois, Seraphin, Turiaf, Ajinca, Gelabele, Petro, Diawara, Mahinmi. That's a legit team.

Wow. Some serious defensive aptitude on that team. I don't know if there's enough scoring options though. Parker and Beaubois would have to score a ton. If you can add one above-average front court scorer to that team, say, Carlos Boozer, that's probably a top 5 or 6 team in the NBA.

Krstic was getting in a few dirty hammerfist punches to the back of someone's head/neck before Baby Shaq turned around. But yeah, I'm sure many a person would get on their bicycle once Sofo starts coming for them.

On a side note: we can't do better than "Baby Shaq" as a nickname? We can't go with Colossus, or some other Greek-themed name?
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Team looks flat...

OK - my previous comment was a bit of an understatement

Team USA is 3-25 FG midway through 2nd Q

Putrid

 Wretched-play by the U.S., Lith is very aggressive with us and hacking a lot to get us out of rhythm. I think we'll calm-down and come back to win, we can't keep-up this horrible shooting.

Agree. We keep playing like this and we will get embarrassed by Spain...

The warm-up "friendly" with Spain today will be our best test by-far of where this U.S. team is right now, looking forward to taking a fresh look at Rubio. No-way we play as-poorly as we did yesterday.

Since this is a B2B, I wonder if we'll see a completely line-up/rotation today?

That was a helluva game, with Durant with a block on the last play to seal the win, catch the replay if you can.
