Try being a Wizards/Capitals/Orioles fan sometime. It's a real pleasure to root for two of the biggest laughing-stocks in their respective sports.

Seraphin will have to learn to rebound properly to become a solid starter in this league... Than again I think he is also hitting a bit of a wall.. Havin hardly played for 4 months and then suddenly logging 30+ minutes a night, he looked flat. When you have the ball in your hand the intensity picks up, but when you are defending or setting picks, that's where he didn't look sharp.

Rebounding has to be his n°1 priority as it is the key to his future in this league

This third quarter one of the worst played, worst officiated quarters I've ever seen. Both teams suck and all the refs suck.

I had a better seat than normal and was very vocal in this game.
Felt a little funny about it as the folks around me seemed to
agree with what I was saying but I was not able to coax anyone
else into joining the fray. I'm thinking to myself, where's the passion?

That said, hail the tank. It's just that when I'm actually at the
game, I become irrationally motivated to see them win.

This may have been the worst game since the trade. Missing
Nene and Book clearly didn't help things (if you want a W).

Lots and lots of missed opportunities at the rim and in the first
half from downtown.

Craw with good O (23 pts on 17 shots) but not so good D. In fairness,
both Jennings and Ellis are tough covers and neither of them were that
good last night. I don't get the degree of hate he gets here. Would I
want him as the long term starter. Don't think so. And his shot selection
continues to 'need some adjustment' but.... Look at the matchups
Craw vs opp SG since Nick left. Perhaps adv stats will prove me wrong,
but I think he's holding his own.

We got beasted on the boards with Sera being a notable culprit.
Same old bug-a-boos, shooting and defensive rebounding were bad.

It's all good though. We're still in 2nd. And for the 2nd time in a little over
a week I won the Carmines gift cert for my call to Consor on the way home.

This^ Livingston couldn't wait to leave when he was here last....but he might be interested in becoming a hired gun.

It is imperative that we get a significant upgrade at back-up PG. Mack has now become he worst of the three draft-picks hands down. Good-thing he isn't under contract next year.

Mack is horrible. When he comes in, the offense becomes so stagnant. He can't create his own shot/break his man down off the dribble, can't penetrate, and doesn't see the floor that well.

look at his game-logs, he does little with the minutes he is given. With John being the poor shooter/closer that he is, we really need someone that can create and hit-shots, and penatrate and finish at the rim.

Did Mack workout against other PG prospects in pre-draft workouts? ...gotta look that up

Mack has only been a PG for about half a season and very little playing time. He needs a speed coach and more time to figure out his NBA game. I'm quite high on Mack as a backup PG.

I agree we should be patient with Mack. Mack though has benefitted from playing limited minutes mostly versus backups. He was exposed to some degree yesterday with Wall gettin in early foul trouble. I still think he can develop into a quality backup but I think his problem is he over dribbles a lot. Wall picks up his dribble too soon and Mack keeps pounding the ball into the court. Only the Wizards..

JJ, why are you "quite high" on him though? I think he may develop into a solid backup, but haven't seen anything to be very high on.

Per 36 minutes Mack is averaging only 5 assists and his TS% of 44.7% is horrible. He really isn't good at anything.

Mack is a dime-a-dozen NBDL quality PG. He's passable but he's not someone you'd invest a ton of resources in or be overly patient with. Ideally he's a 3rd stringer but backup PG isn't a major issue for us right now so I'm not necessarily suggesting we must upgrade from Mack. But I certainly wouldn't consider him a core piece.

Yeah, we're talking about a 12 minutes a game role. The Wiz have nothing to lose by letting him fill it for the rest of the season. If he plays poorly, he's helped with the tank. If he plays well, they have a backup PG. It's a win/win sitiation.

Except Wall has potential to be a star player. I'm not seeing that much room for development for Mack.
