Honestly, just make Temple the permanent backup PG now, and play Rice over Maynor when Beal/Webster needs a rest. Rice won't try and do any stupid floaters, and at least as legit NBA size. We'd improve the defense in that scenerio.

Looks like Wall is gearing up on a hot streak. That'll give us a chance most nights. He's utterly unguardable when his jumper is falling.

Gortat's best game of the season. Martell had a great game. And Beal did a good job making an impact even though he's tired and his shot wasn't as pure as it usually is. Looked a little hitchy early on. That long rebound in traffic that he took up court against a 1 on 3 and fed Vesely for the easy dunk was a thing of beauty.

Good game. When we get two monster games from starters, we've got a good chance against most teams.

Tough stretch coming up. Gotta find a way to at least go 2-2 in the next four. 3-1 would be great. But Atlanta and @Indy will be hard.

Gotta keep pointing this out until EG gets fired.

The team score 98 The opponents scored 89

That's what matters.

And the Wizards shot 47.8% had 45 rebounds 23 assists and 22 FTA

I really don't care how many points the bench scored. I care that the team produced.

They played an 8 man rotation. Once Trevor A returns, some of the starters minutes can go down.
Once Otto returns they can go down more if he is able to produce.

Whats done is done regarding EG. Right now its about Randy and he did better tonight. Glad he is finally figuring it out. Part of the reason the starters were able to produce was because he figured out how to do the rotations better so they got rest and there wasn't a big hole to dig out of.

Great win. We played well as a cohesive unit and our starters really played well.

On a sidenote, did any else literally LOL at Maynor's floater? When it was released I cringed, when it smashed off the backboard I couldn't help but laugh haha.

That ish was hilarious in the preseason. Now it's infuriating. If our thoughts put us in prison, everyone here would be up on homicide.

In other news, the Cavs are losing 80-53 right now at the Spurs. We got smoked too, but that is an epic beatdown.

I saw the Version center crew examining the back board after the game.

Wizards currently holding the 8th slot.

When was the last time that happened ?

Man, NY and BRK must be really bummed right now. Both teams are 3-9.
At least BRK is partly that was because of so many road games. 4 home 8 on the road and they are 1-7 there.

NY is in part that way because they are 1-6 at home. Ouch.

Chandler out for a mouth or more is going to really hurt that team. Add no Felton and that team is in the hurt locker.

Nope. They never made it up there. They lost the tie breaker.

They really should have more championships. They are a well oiled machine, just mind blowing consistency. I try not to watch their games, because it makes our games soooo unwatchable.

looking at how weak the EC is now that DRose will miss most if not the rest of the season and knowing from last year that with a healthy starting 5 we can play with just about any team, 45 wins is definitely possible, which might be enough for the 3 seed and certainly no lower than 5th.

Miami & Indy are LOCKS for the top 2 seeds. Atlanta looks like a lock playoff team. I expect the Bulls to be there too (they are too hardworking) not to be. After that, its everybody's guess.

I think in 04-05 we won 45 games and had home court vs the Bulls, so its happened in the past. People act like the east is especially bad this year, but its been absolutely terrible for about 12 years.

Amazing. None of their Big Three played more than 16 minutes. None of the starters played more than 21. Just an absolute clinic of execution. It doesn't matter who is on the floor. They run the system to perfection.

Tim Duncan was +32 in 16 minutes of play.

They were up 65-32 at halftime.

agree but at some point it just has to be so demoralizing for the Bulls that no amount of effort will be enough and this time around theres no NateRob to lift them up and the Hawks are, well theyre the Hawks and the 3 seed goes to the next best record and not the ATL DIV winners...would love to see us win a series and maybe take 1 or 2 games from MIA/INDY...but my optimism/enthusiasm is tempered by knowing that EG and Witt will be resigned if this occurs...to tank or not to tank, I cant make up my mind

Return to Washington Wizards
