Our offense requires people who should not be primary ball handlers to be primary ball handlers.
Ariza and Beal should not be asked to create offense.

you do realize that Wall was on pace for maybe a quadruple double, right? Just because he wasnt scoring well doesnt mean he wasnt playing great and controling the game

Might as well blame Wit for that missed Wall layup too.

Wall and Beal 1-13 and we lead by 4. We can do this.

We're gonna need more than 2 points and 0 made field goals from our All-Star.

I fully expected Wall to blow that layup.. didn't react at all when he missed it.

the defense is fine (although its more just sloppy play by OKC)
the offensive execution is absymal. Very little movement and stupid 2 man games with everyone else just standing. Randy is alright for .500 aspirations but he deserves every bit of scorn possible for his "offensive" game plans, pun intended.
Wall and Beal are both sucking a fat one tonight as well in the shooting department.

And the Wiz were up 12 when Wall sat. The bench extended the lead to 15. Wall finished the half with 18 minutes played. Wiz end the half with a 4 point lead against the best team in the NBA. I just cant get onboard with all the coach hate regarding rotations. The real issue was the lack of defensive intensity that Wall himself, was partly responsible for.

It's amazing. Plus, the Wiz have made all of 2 FT's this game.
At some point, they got to try something other than Wall taking the last shot of every quarter. Driving and dishing seems to me to be a much better strategy.

Randy has totally screwed up their shot releases... that we are only up by 4 on OKC is a travesty

no but actually telling them its ok to take contested long 2s is indicative a coach who doesn't understand %s given what he has to work with. He's a mediocre offensive coach, there is no way to mask that.

This is the one area I do hate about our system. I won't argue with you about that.

Re: GT#46: OKC Thunder @ Washington Wizards 2/1 7:00PM
I have to imagine both Wall and Beal actually hit some shots in the 2nd half...but the fear is that Durant will start draining some of those 3s as well.
Also surprised Ibaka doesn't have a single foul. Refs treat him like Hibbert on the shot blocks...I can't really tell if he's not bodying the players first on my **** feed.

Agreed, but you have to admit that Randy had a pretty good defensive scheme in the first quarter. I am sure that Brooks will make adjustments in the second half.
And I though the offensive movement in the first quarter was good - good 3 pt to long 2 point ratio sans Beal and Wall.
Wall stopped attacking in the second quarter, maybe he was tired or maybe Ibaka is in his head. But when Wall stops attacking - bad things happen.

Also thought Nene got called on two fouls that could have gone either way... I thought that hurt a bit.

the bench extended it and then lost it.
I totally disagree with 2 things you said. 1 is you and Nate keep talking about total minutes in games played but every game is different. You go by the feel of the game and the opponent. Wall needed to come back in early this game. One game is not going to kill anyone. You are playing the best team. I know stars who play 45min plus in major games because there team needs that. You dont just say every game Im going to play him this amount of minutes. You take that game for what it is.
I also disagree about the 4pt lead stuff. Sounds like what Gary Williams use to say everytime the Terps would have a 20pt lead and then only be up by 4 at the half. He would say that he take a 4pt lead t the half against that team every day but the truth is momentum is more important than those 4 points.

Lets get the W without the big 3rd quarter collapse
