It's a sad day when the Twolves start out maneuvering us.

You know it's not the first time they've done that.

I mostly agree, especially on Hill as he has no real connection to the team and they are deep in the front court. He would be great depth.

But on Sullinger, the more im reading the less i want(ed) him. Going into a contract year, he got in moderate shape (around 275) and then once the season started he inexplicably blew up to well over 300. You hear quotes from people in Boston and John Lucas and it appears he really has some issues. When a player fails to buy in/work hard for teams with history, a strong FO, a great coach, and a system in which the players share the ball and win... I dont trust them. If you fail and have issues in Golden State, San Antonio, Boston, or Atlanta...No thanks

And as much as all of us were disappointed by Aldrich, it sounds like a lot of teams were in on him. But he is from Minnesota, they have elite young talent, they have a strong Owner/FO and a great coach. No team can really compete with that unless he was handed a starting job.

So, do you believe the Westbrook to Boston rumors?

Nah. Boston won't trade for a rental. Russell isn't signing an extension and wants to test free agency.

He's LA bound.

If he wants to ring, imagine if in 2017 he signs with...

That would be such a tweak to Durant.

Someone will take a rental of westbrook, what they get for him as a rental is another matter all together.

it's going to be the Celtics, yet another team that's going to whoop our butts next season.

Jones was awful last season. Really awful. Something is up with him. I don't know whether he just isn't the same player after that nerve issue or all his injuries, or if there is some other personal reason the Rockets have kept quiet, but he was one of the worst players in the NBA last season. Stuff like this is really, really ugly. Given the Pelicans seem to be about the worst team for understanding how injuries can matter to a player's value, and that they're getting him on a bargain basement 1-year deal, I suspect Jones isn't a guy to be too worried about. Sullinger was a better player and could at least have been worth it, but with him you'd have to believe in his long-term commitment to his conditioning. Aldrich and Boban might have been better breakout candidates, but Boban turns 28 in August and Aldrich turns 28 in October, so they aren't exactly young, either. Really, the Nicholson signing is in line with the market, and the only question is whether or not you believe he'll be an effective player. I'm not really sure he will be, personally, but who knows.

Nice move. If they had included a team option for another year, it'd have been a great move. Sully is uber-motivated to get in much better shape so he can test the waters again next off-season.

Yep, true - good vs. great signing. Unless they are planning something for the end of the season. Just don't see it...

Nope, not at all. If you read the Rockets fans post on the GB, you see the same common theme.
- Mediocre rebounder that can block shots from time to time and push the ball, But..
- Below average shooter that takes too long to get his shot off
- Big frame, but gets pushed around down low
- Not quick enough on perimeter
- Poor vision
- Terrible IQ, especially defensively

Nicholson has slowly but surely developed a nice little 3pt shot to pull bigs out. And if you dare play an undersized 4 on him, he can take them down low and make them look absolutely silly. Dont be surprised to see him and Morris in the game and expose some mismatches.

Kind of feel good about Manu's seeming to get a bit of a golden parachute after he sacrificed money, minutes, and stats to help keep that team together over the years. Heckuva player.

They did get the 5th pick for a couple of mediocre vets...

Boban looks like a Paul Bunyan version of Alex Ovechkin.

Yeah a nice gesture by the Spurs. It could well pay off for them in the long run - in terms of getting team friendly deals in the future.
