The thing was though was that conservative groups like 4Chan trolled the national media and generated fake content to back up the claim that Cruz was a white supremacist. This was done in effort to make national media sources seem less credible. But now it turns out that the shooter is a white supremacist after all which is kind of funny until you remember that a bunch of people lost their lives.

Before they released pictures of the victims, i wondered WHO he chose to shoot. Having seen the faces of the fallen 17, I doubt supremacist. He shot up everything and anyone.

In short, I don't think he was with the program at all. He was NOT a white supremacist IMO. Too "cray cray". LONER who was trying to fit in. They both envision violent confrontations. Both gun nut groups. Cruz hated ANYTHING that breathed that crossed his path while his demons ruled.

Do people think other western countries don't have mentally ill people who fantasize mass shootings? The difference is we make assault rifles wayyyy more accessible than any of the other highly developed countries. Look I'm Christian, but our gun policy is like bulldozing all the hospitals and doctors offices down and relying purely on thoughts and prayers to sustain us. God will protect us, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want the human race to be reckless. A country that's healthy spiritually has little to do with this, because we are talking about people on the margins. Our gun policy is the equivalent of Jesus jumping off a cliff to dare God to save him.

Well, there are two pieces to this. Guns are so easily available outliers like Cruz have easy access to them. Tariffs are essentially taxes that cause prices to go up and the consumer in the end suffers. A prime example is softwood lumber even with the large tariff Canada is still selling a similar volume of lumber to the USA. The reality is the USA is unable to produce enough lumber for demand in the area of 25 to 30% shortfall. Canada is close has the reserves and is competitive in the world stage. Who benefits? Not the consumer since the prices rise and they pay more for lumber. Georgia Pacific is a huge winner in the deal they are the largest lumber supplier in the USA. Who owns Georgia Pacific? The Koch Brothers.

Tariffs should be imposed but in a targeted way yes China is dumping steel & aluminum in the USA. Which by the way Trump took advantage of in his construction projects. But instead of identifying the target country and punishing them Trump has made the tariff on every country as he did with solar panels. What are the implications? Many consumer goods including cars get more expensive and important industries like the aircraft industry become less competitive in the world market. Plus the world will punish the USA putting tariffs on a wide array of American produced products. On sector that will be seriously affected is Agriculture in areas that backed Trump.

The 1st. indication was today's drop in the stock market which will continue and the beginning of inflation. Trumps dream of a 3% GDP growth will not happen just as lasts year GDP was in the 2.4 range.

This is the beginning of the USA heading for a recession with ultra high inflation.

Well what's interesting is the US is a much more service-oriented economy than we were back in the early 20th century, the last time we had a trade war (right before the Great Depression). Since manufacturing is so small for us now, but big for China, the game theory outcome might be different, since the payoffs are tilted in our favor more than they were earlier.
