Perkins is a stitch! Who knew?

Avdija has a very quick release on his catch-and-shoot. He looks like Klay Thompson in those corner 3 shooting drills. If he actually makes them at a respectable clip, he is going to be a very potent floor stretcher.

Rui is still line-driving his 3 pointers

The question being if someone shows up big in training camp and takes the 15th spot from AnSESH PaSESHneeks. (If I was picking a dark horse here it would be Yoeli Childs as a lob threat for Russ and a rebounder down low....

I'd much rather have Childs than Pasecniks.... He's younger & looks like a guy with a fair amount of upside.

But, doc, you've got two #8s in your list above. So, your 15 with Pasecniks is actually 16.

Remove Mathews, who (like Winston) is on a 2-way contract. We only get 2 of those.

Childs is on an Exhibit 10 contract, as are Homesley & Marlon Taylor.

I really dislike how wizard manag er ment doesnt instruct all players to dribble outside and behind the heel of their shoes while moving forward. This is the reason for high turnover rate historically with wiz. No vision no future.
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Yeah the 8's were caught in an edit deciding which player they thought was more essential.

On 2-ways and exhibit 10's: I was guessing at the contracts but you can see I posted the corrected roster once it was posted, they had an outdated one on the official Wiz site. Smh. It was wishful thinking that we could promote Mathews to the grown up table. Depth wise a significant need is a solid long range back up at 2-guard, especially with decent size. I think Scotty having been a short scrappy guard himself thinks having a surplus of short scrappy guys is fine. Personally I'd like a little more height as well as range, and I like Garrison's catch and shoot quick trigger. Granted that means we need a guy to get him the ball if he is not the sort who creates for himself, but if he is the player he looks like he might be then his tools are what we lack elsewhere: confident gunner with range and smart play. We have guys who are too cautious and efficient but don't take the shot. Garrison takes the shot.

I too would rather run with Childs than a surplus Latvian. I think he adds something we don't have in a low post power threat. Plus his name is cooler and easier to spell.

I was surprised that they allowed AP's contract to become guaranteed, I guess they needed a practice body.

Wagner is a real wildcard as a deep bench big. Im buying his 3 point shot and I love his hustle & IQ. Smart bigs who hustle and can shoot always have a place in this league and I LOVE that he gets under the skin of the other team.

Yeah, I think he's useful as a backup center if he is being paid less than $5M or so. I don't know if his ceiling is any higher than that, though. Can he defend starting-caliber centers consistently without fouling? Can he protect the rim?

I think he is a smart player who will know where to position himself defensively, but he is merely 6-11 with a 7-0 wingspan. That's going to limit his defensive ceiling.

Sure... but when I see a hard nosed, limited Center with shooting touch and IQ that fouls too much... I could point to Kelly Olynyk.
Kelly O had better passing instincts, but Mo is clearly a better shooter at the same age.

I could see Mo becoming a Kelly O type center.

They didn't, the deadline got extended to sometime in February. The guaranteed portion did go up by $100,000 though.

I'm still not seeing Yoeli Childs out there. For that matter, did I miss Cassius Winston?

What's Gill's #? 22 ?

Yoeli Childs is #22. Gill is a briefly glimpsed #16. Cash would be #5. I haven't noticed him either.
