Tommy is a straight up liar. Will never trust a word from his mouth. I get that this was an untenable situation but have some integrity. Count me in as one who thinks Wall will be better than many think. Welcome to DC Westbrook. Watch your back.

Let's not forget Harden just wins 50 games no matter what roster is around him. Thought Westbrook was properly hated at this point in his career but there are still too many people who think he's good. Why do people keep leaving Westbrook? Does the chucking get tiresome?

I’ll take that bet. Washington will be a top 5 seed and go to the conference finals, Westbrook will be all nba again, the rockets will be a total dumpster fire with Wall, Cousins, and Harden. Wall will be a shell of his old self (which still was not very good)

The wiz are actually built to surround a high usage player like Westbrook. Beal is a much better fit next to him than Harden. Bertans and Bryant will be a great fit, Bonga too.

Very similar legacies. Both had star numbers but no real postseason success. Both suffered catastrophic injuries. Both were traded despite enormous contracts. Other teams equally swapped unwanted players under big contracts.

The Wizards soured on both players. Neither guy is viewed as a good leader. Neither Wall nor Arenas will be celebrated the way Beal will as Wizard greats; regardless of their talent perhaps being superior.

Character...

Will you still believe this when Beal isn’t on this team in a few years?

Depends on how much longer that Bradley Beal remains a Wizard. Brad has a very solid reputation around the league. Unless he demands a trade he’s the face of the franchise and the unquestioned team leader.

Time will tell but I’m assuming Beal stays for the long haul.

I remember how insanely pumped I was, going to J-Wall’s first game against the 76ers. And how he put on a GD show.

I remember on Draft Lotto day, for the first time in a long time, really thinking this team had turned the corner and we had an absolute franchise.

Just really sad right now. I like Russ. I think he’ll be exciting to watch next year. But I’ll miss John.

I was at that game too. Evan Turner for sixers was turrible. Wall hits 3 FTs to tie
and send game to OT.

Westbrook is better player but still sad.

Both players had/have the same major issue, too ego driven to give
the ball up when they can’t throw it in the ocean.

I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this...

He played with Harden and Durant. I highly doubt that.

I feel like Houston got the better of this deal even without the pick added. I think Wall would have been an ideal fit with the squad and had everything to prove, he was the right player for the squad we were building. Westbrook is a rich man's IT. Hero ball all the time. Ball stopper. Hardheaded, and stunting the growth of our young cats. Not a leader for youth but a Me Me Me player. And on the decline. At least with Wall there is a chance of undiscovered upside.

You do know it was GM Bradley Beal that spearheaded this, right?

Yep...and it's why I can't "F" with Brad anymore.

All I know is in every interview I saw John was talking about how much Brad's game had grown and how much he was looking forward to playing with him.

I don't think John woke up days later and suddenly decided he didn't want to play with Brad..

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

When he played with Kevin Durant, Russ took more shots.

When he played with Paul George, Russ took more shots.

When he played with James Harden, Russ took more shots.

You actually think there's a chance he defers to Bradley Beal????

Russ won't be here for 3 years. He'll get traded or opt out. New York? Los Angeles Clippers? He'll end his career at home in Los Angeles.

Bryant, Bertan, and Beal are much better off ball then Harden. Plus westbrook loves run screens. Having Bigs who can shot will help a lot.

Also keep in mind Wall isn't available for back to backs. Wall will always be considered a Wizard, and Westbrook a Thunder, both players best days are behind them. That said, to move Wall with his contract and injury recovery plus clashing with Beal was something that could not be passed up.

Westbrook being able to play every game makes him more valuable for us right away, and being a more tradeable player could make him more valuable for our future.

Depends on how much longer that Bradley Beal remains a Wizard. Brad has a very solid reputation around the league. Unless he demands a trade he’s the face of the franchise and the unquestioned team leader.

Part of me would love to believe that but in today’s NBA, it’s almost
unheard of for players to stay with the same team that long. Shxt happens.
