I'm very impressed by Kyshawn. He might be our best player. Improvement from last year to this year is stunning.

Yeah we played pretty well. CJ was our weak link. Giannis is a beast and just wore us down in the end.

Why would you put Tristan in for 1:40 when he can only play 50 games??!

Small potatoes, but I don’t see why we kept Cooper over Dillon Jones.

I only caught the 4th quarter.
The box score looks pretty good. Our youngsters posted good numbers.
Sarr with 10 points and 12 boards in 26 minutes
George with 21, 9 and 4 in 33 minutes
Tre with 16 points and 5 boards on a .667 TS% in 26 minutes
Whitmore with 14 points in 19 minutes.
They were playing a solid Bucks team on the road and we don't have a player that can match up with Giannis. Not really a game we're supposed to win. I guess the defense was pretty bad. I'll watch a replay tomorrow.

Re: GT #1: Bullets @ Bucks 8 PM (MonSportsNet/106.7 FM)
Terrible start to the game, but aside from that, couldn't have asked for much more.
Tre had a nice first game. Even though his main contribution was shooting, he did other things unlike, say, Kispert, who is a total waste on everything else. He's going to have to build a collection of hesitation and other moves to get buy people, as he's not going to do it with quickness alone, and tighten up his handle, but he's still a baby.
Sarr played great. His hands looked so much better. Tried taking everything to the basket, and showing a variety of decent moves. Rebounding looked much improved. Screens much improved. He was out there contributing on most possessions, whereas last year he was hurting the team on most possessions.
Keyshawn didn't quite pass the ball well enough to be our point guard, and it showed at times when the ball stagnated. But he's already an ideal secondary ball handler and creator, and his defense looks great.
Bub, his role might be backup point guard or a derek fisher type in the future. Not looking like a core piece at this point. But the three above do, and I hope Coulibaly comes back and shows out.
Not super impressed by Cam Whitmore. Maybe a microwave scorer off the bench, but he doesn't play team ball.

Sarr played better. Much more like a traditional big. Giannis destroyed him on offense though. Sarr is at his best as a help defender.

[NBA] WSH @ MIL,
Final : 120 : 133
https://www.thescore.com/nba/events/2447823
The final stats are deceiving. The Wizards really rebounded well, 63-50.
They outshot us 50-98 to 46-98. Not horrible. Giannis ate, as expected.
The glaring advantage that they had was 31 assists to 8 turnovers, as opposed to 23 assists to 14 turnovers.
I did not see the game, but the box looks like, besides Giannis, the teams battled on even terms.

Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Re: GT #1: Bullets @ Bucks 8 PM (MonSportsNet/106.7 FM)
Saar thankfully did not shoot any 3s, and I hope that experiment is over. His defense is very worrisome on the whole despite a few stops on GA.
Kyshawn George continues to be a bright spot and looks like could get minutes on a playoff team eventually.
Middleton hopefully stays healthy because could see getting a distant first rounder for him.

Re: GT #1: Bullets @ Bucks 8 PM (MonSportsNet/106.7 FM)
I am definitely in the minority in thinking that this was a good start for them. I saw a lot of good things exhibited by each of the young players who got 20+ mins of play.
1. Tre can shoot. It was all net when he made the shot. He knows his spots, and he "feels" it. Crazy prediction - I think he can have a 40 pt game in his rookie season. He obviously has a lot og growing to do. He was pushed around and couldn't match the strength of opposing guards. Despite that, he had a steal, a block, and he disrupted 3 shots. All that is expected from a 19 yo rookie.
2. Kyshawn had a good game! The stats speak for themself. Beyond that, he showed strength, smarts on D and in boxing out for the rebound, and shot selection. He has matured as a player over the summer, and you could see that in his play. I am looking forward to seeing more growth over the season. He got called for some silly fouls, and he needs to cut back on those. The team should use him more as a point-forward - he could be relatively successful in that role.
3. Sarr's game has improved. No 3-pt shot taken! He wasnt settling for those and he had all the reason to being guarded by Turner, Giannis sometimes, Portis, and Kuzma He only took one shot that he probably shouldnt have. That is a massive improvement from last year. He got stronger (at least more upper body muscle mass), and he used it to battle for rebounds. The Bucks are a physical team and he held his own for the most part. Double-double in 26 mins. He didnt seem as effective on defense (minus the rebounds).
4. With all the negative talk about Bub, I was expecting a mistake-prone outing. He was solid! He is a backup PG/SG. That's his role. If he plays mistake-free basketball, as he did today, I will take that.
These 4 players are certainly developing well. They all show potential as good individual parts of a strong team....I don't know yet if it's the same team.

Maybe need to use some of those 2nd round picks to get someone to take him. Possibly the worst defender in the league, bad signing.
Nobody is going to trade for Kispert as long as he keeps bricking 3s.
Nobody cares that be can put it on the deck, or attack the basket, or move without the ball... If he's missing his 3s he's worthless.
3/7 on 3ptrs and overall 4/8 shooting. He did what is expected of him. He is good trade bait for a 2nd round pick, maybe even a low 1st round pick on a playoff-bound team needing firepower off the bench.
