Rubio would have been fun, but I still like the move we made on the condition that it isn't the only thing we do this offseason.

Donk- If that is true, do you still take the kid at #5? They need help now. Could have had Curry instead

Jordan Hill = Edgerrin James?

Is Jordan Hill related to Manny Rodriguez?

So...they got the 5th pick for a player who's not going to be here this season? Smart.

Would the Suns go for a Jordan Hill, David Lee s/t, mobley's contract and next years 1st for Amare and Pavlovic?

Foye + Miller >>> Rubio. Rubio is all hype and no substance.

+ 1. Rubio's absolutely overrated.

I would've preferred Evans or Harden but we couldn't have taken them at 5 anyway.

Rubio is also 18 years old. He probably won't be a star for 4 years or so, IF he gets there.

Jordan Hill reminds me an awful lot of Etan Thomas. A bit robotic and stiff, not much of any finesse to his game.

If you're the Knicks, that's about the only move that made sense. There aren't any guards worthy of that selection, and when it comes to it I take a big man over a questionable guard any time.

With Rubio still on the board at no. 5 you gotta wonder if Min would have given up their 18th.

The Kings passed on him. That should tell you something. They needed a point guard badly, and ended taking a combo guard instead.

MJG wrote:I don't really care whether we would've kept Rubio or not, but we absolutely could have extorted a bit more out of the trade if we had simply waited until draft night. Don't think they would have taken Stevenson and/or sent us the 18th if they knew it was Rubio they were getting? Shame.

This shows that Ernie's main concern was making-sure that the Salary-shed was in the bag before draft-night. Ernie's deal plus Minnesota's 18th would have garnered Ernie an A+. Let's see what he does with 32.

yet to be seen. my problem is if we took rubio, we wouldnt have this ridiculous log jam at guard positions. rubio would be a better back up then foye imo and this would allow minutes for dmac and nicky young still
