Wizards are the favorite individual team to sign RYan Anderson at 9/2, but the field gets 3/2 odds
Wiz have third best odds at Batum (12/1) but he's an overwhelming favorite to stay in Charlotte for that 5th year
Fifth-best team odds to Horford (9/1) but the field is 3/1
Second best odds at Jo Noah (5/1) but Knicks are a huge favorite -- even odds
Close Second best team odds at Parsons (9/2)
5/1 Odds at Marvin Williams (tied for second/third)
Just 3/1 Odds that Beal doesn't return to the Wizards. You'd think they'd be higher for a RFA.

Happy betting!

Odds that EG gets canned after this year?

It would really interesting to see a lineup of Wall, Beal, Batum, Horford and Gortat. Still need some bigs and shooters tho

Odds aren't great of it happening, but I'm solidly in the sign Horford camp. A PF who can shoot like Horford will do very well playing next to Wall an Gortat. I'd expect Tito's son to have at least 3-4 more good years in him.

odds are almost the same as Teddy figuring out that he isnt a GM and shouldnt direct what EG should do, and at the same time, figuring out that having a GM who actually does the work of a GM is better than having a 'yes man".

Dario Saric looks to be headed over to the Sixers this season. That would give them

PG: McConnell, Marshall
SG: Thompson, Luwawu, Stauskas
SF: Simmons, Covington, Grant
PF: Saric, Landry, Holmes
C: Noel, Okafor, Embiid

That is a very interesting backcourt. And there don't seem to be many takers for Okafor or Embiid. I could see them wanting to do a S&T for Beal and going hard after a PG in FA. I would do a trade if it included the 2017 first round draft pick from L.A. Lakers.

Simmons is not a SF tho. He's 6-10 240, a monster rebounder and has a suspect jumper.

Sounds like Jo Noah wants to play for his hometown team. Typical Knicks move. Grab the former stars.

Don't see Philly trading Okafor or Embid along with that Lakers pick for Beal who has yet to live up to expectations and play a full season but with Colangelo I guess you can never rule anything out. I expect Simmons to play more of that point forward role with his ball handling abilities although he may be listed as the starter at PF. I cannot see Saric starting right away, I think he will be their 6th or 7th man.

Any Interest in Kanter?

Per Marc Stein:

"Over the past several days, the Thunder have sought out teams with open salary-cap space to possibly absorb Enes Kanter and Kyle Singler, sources said. The Thunder have other methods of opening cap space, including waiving Anthony Morrow, whose contract isn't guaranteed until July 15"

Wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't rule him out either.

Thinking about it more, trading for Kanter could be a huge bargain. Averages just under 18 million for the final three years of his deal. And if all they're looking for in return is cap space, then we could get a good 24 year old big for nothing.

Do it.

If it means helping OKC get Durant and Horford, then no.

Actually -- and oddly (sorry! :) ) -- I think it's pretty likely this'll be his last year. We are not going to be good, and it'll be impossible to look away from his failure.

Morrow sounds more intriguing. Any big we get must have ability to defend.

This is some high-flying BS.

"this is the first time the Wizards can build a complete team around Wall and Beal. ...with $31 million to spend, it is possible to build a consistent winner."

Gee, what if we'd drafted well in 2011? Wouldn't that have enabled us to build "a complete team" and "consistent winner"? Oh, and how about if we'd drafted Crowder or Green in '12? No help in getting to "a complete team"? Or, say we'd actually kept Jordan Clarkson in R2/2014, rather than passing him to the Lakers for 3 ride tickets at Disneyworld? Or, how about if we'd kept Booker instead of Seraphin? Hadn't waived Shelvin Mack (now a starter with a better team than the Wizards)? Hadn't signed awful FAs like Harrington and the unnameable PG).

As to building a consistent winner using our $31m in cap room, that'll be the day. Ernie hasn't build a consistent winner ever in his 140 years as Wizards GM. Going to start now? I don't think so.

If we had to take Singler to get Kanter, then I change my answer to no to that deal. He completely sucks and somehow has four years left on his contract.

Ian Clark got minutes over Harrison Barnes at a couple points in the playoffs.
