Idiots. His shot wasnt falling last night and still scored 5 on 3 FGA. He also contributed 2 Rebounds, 3 assist, and 2 blocks with 0 turnovers. His +3 was 2nd only to Wagner (Go Figure). If they get a top 45 pick ill be shocked. He's due 5M+ next year and cant get any minutes.

They need to be talking to teams like NY with Bertans.
Bertans to NY for their worst 1st (Top 20 protected/Becomes DET 2nd plus additional future 2nd)

Gotta laugh that the Wiz management appears to believe that their roster is too talented to put TBJ in the rotation, and they're just playing him to showcase him. Welp, someone's going to get a bargain.

This is the kind of player that comes off the bench for San Antonio. Why would we want that?

If this is true, it's just one more nail in Tommy's coffin.

The phrase "extremely available" can have only one meaning -- we'll take anything for him.

Nah. Not really. They'd draft and play a wing that could play 3&D from jump and work on developing his ball skills. That's much easier to do than force a ball dominant wing with a shaky jumper to go stand in the corner and expecting him to play well.

He needs a team that's willing to put the ball in his hands. The 3&D thing ain't gonna work for him.

Wouldn't be shocked if they come away with a decently protected 2nd for him. Would be thrilled if it's better, but I've got a feeling they are ready to move on.

That would be terrible. Brown Jr had a promising year 2. They should atleast give him 25-30 minutes in a prominent role to see what he can do. This would be the definition of selling low.

Maybe Brown Jr requested a trade. Wouldn't blame him

I just keep trying to think of three team trades with Bertans that get us drummand that's the only way we make the cap work I think.

Wiz out : Bertans , lopez, Ish , robinson, bryant.

Cavs in: bryant, ish , robinson
Cavs out : drummand

NYK in Bertans and lopez
NYK out. NItillkina and Brazdeikis , 2021 and 2023 pistons seconds and 2023 mavs first.

The kicks really need a power punch and some range. Bertans give them that. They need some center depth too ala lopez. You can take out a second or maybe both but the players they are giving up have little to no value. Lopez is acting well and Bertans is back in form I think this is a fair offer for them.

Cavs same as before bryant is the best asset they will get for him.

Wiz well like I said before drummand rebounding fixes a lot of issues for us. We also re gain some assets those pistons seconds will be nice with out cap situation and that 2023 first has a chance to match up with the one we traded away for westbrook. NItillkina could be referbished here but the betrer thing is I'd rather play a defensive pg like him over ish with this team. Taking out 5 players and bringing in three gives us room to bring up mathews and get him long term and a spot to play the buy out market or trade mo and maybe brown for something.

It's really 2 different trades. I'd do the Cleveland trade because I think we'll be better off at center next year with $9M in cap room than we would be with Bryant at $9M. And in the meantime, we get to kick the tires on Drummond to see if he could fit in.

The New York trade is a no-brainer from our perspective, but I don't see the Knicks doing it.

Given the news of the front office’s willingness to trade Troy, here is a trade that Tommy & co may do with SAC: Troy+Wagner for Holmes. Sacramento’s odds to reach the playoffs are very slim, and may think Troy + Wagner is a better bet for the future than keeping Holmes. In a dream world, we would get one of their three 2 rd picks in this coming draft (SAC, MEM, LAL, ideally SAC or MEM).

Why wouldn't Sac prefer to just re-sign Holmes - now that he's established himself as their starting center and done well at it?

Not to mention, if the Wiz made that trade and re-signed Holmes, they'd go into the lux tax.

The thing about Wagner is that, without RFA rights, his trade value isn't that high. Sacramento would get his Bird Rights, but that's not really important since he is likely to cost well less than the MLE on his next contract.

I wonder if Sacramento would prefer Bryant? Something like Bryant + Brown for Holmes + Jabari Parker?

If we are adding Holmes and expect to retain him, he will probably cost just above MLE money. At that price, we don't want to also carry Bryant's contract.

Good thinking Nate. A more plausible scenario!

When you trade someone whom you view as a problem rather than a solution, usually you get back a guy whom your trade partner views as a problem rather than a solution.

I'm afraid that sounds more like Marvin Bagley than Richaun Holmes....

Mo Bamba for tbj? Why is he still barely playing? Fair enough that Vucevic is the starting Center but Birch is ahead of him too. I remember really liking him when he was drafted. Is it just the situation or does he suck?

I'd do Brown for Bagley too.

They'd probably want a 1st, and that's a hard pass.
