Looks like the Wiz are interested in signing some 33 year old greek dude

http://www.sportando.com/en/cups/euroleague/204236/ioannis-bourousis-between-panathinaikos-and-the-nba.html

Hell, since Grunfailed is handing out contracts, maybe I should have my cousin...errr agent...reach out to the Wiz. I got a pretty good looking jumpshot.

I mentioned him a few hours ago. After doing research, he's supposed to be an exceptional offensive player but his defense is reportedly awful.

Now this would be a typical Wiz signing.

How would that work. We can't do two max deals can we?

That would be a fun, fast, athletic lineup

Gee, what if we'd drafted well in 2011? Wouldn't that have enabled us to build "a complete team" and "consistent winner"? Oh, and how about if we'd drafted Crowder or Green in '12? No help in getting to "a complete team"? Or, say we'd actually kept Jordan Clarkson in R2/2014, rather than passing him to the Lakers for 3 ride tickets at Disneyworld? Or, how about if we'd kept Booker instead of Seraphin? Hadn't waived Shelvin Mack (now a starter with a better team than the Wizards)? Hadn't signed awful FAs like Harrington and the unnameable PG).

As to building a consistent winner using our $31m in cap room, that'll be the day. Ernie hasn't build a consistent winner ever in his 140 years as Wizards GM. Going to start now? I don't think so.

Jerry Brewer for the post is just another lap dog for the organization like J. Michael. His pillowy soft columns offer plenty of cushion for Ted/Ernie. It seems like Brewer's main job at the post is not to piss anyone off.

You mean the same Jerry Brewer that basically called for the firing of Grunfeld.

Brewer is good. Especially on football.

Even if we could, that's a freakin' pipe dream. Horford is visting Houston and haven't heard Washington's name in his plans. Batum will probably re-sign with Charlotte. If not, he fits in perfectly with Golden State.

Good news, Turner would be a great 6th man for us. He's got the offensive game that our 2nd unit desperately needs, and he can play multiple positions.

I wish I could share some of that enthusiasm, but Turner is nothing more than a mediocre player. He's a relatively low efficiency scorer and isn't even a threat from 3 point range. You almost have to have special qualities to be a good wing player without a 3 point show, and Turner just doesn't have any. I'd have no interest in acquiring him.

At least Batum is a much better player than Evan Turner. Problem is - how does he fit - unless the Wiz aren't planning on keeping Beal? And we know the Wiz are planning on keeping Beal.

Can't Batum play the 2,3 and four?

In today's position-less NBA, I'm not sure you can have enough versatile wings.

I can give you some info on Bourousis since i am Greek and have watched him play a lot.First of all he just had his best year this season and was voted best center in euroleague. He is good offensively,he can post,he can shoot(very good 3 point shooter),good rebounder and is an excellent passer. He is a mediocre defender with PnR D being his biggest weakness. He could be had for around 5 mil i guess(thats close to what he will get in europe). If you are looking for a backup C to boost your bench's scoring he is a pretty good option.

Hope this helped.

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

Team executives who spoke to B/R predicted Howard might command $10-15 million in a starting salary—far short of the $23.3 million he just opted out of in Houston, and less than half the $31 million max salary he is said to be seeking. He might also have to settle for a short deal.

http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/would-you-pay-dwight-howard-31-million/

I mean if we can get Dwight for 15 a year AND on a deal with a team option we should absolutely be chasing that
