Tate is not a WR1. Him going at 4 is laughable. Next years draft is absolutely loaded with WRs.
Styles was a HR pick, one of the few truly elite players in this first round. Our defense looks completely different after the offseason.

Agreed. In one offseason, we went from the slowest, least dynamic front seven to one of the fastest and most versatile. I’d love to see an Aiyuk signing, draft Everette or Muhammad and a late round center.
At least on paper, that’s a home run offseason
There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Hype is fun, but they need to produce. I agree that on paper, the LBs went from a liability to a strength, but pump the brakes a little bit. Let them prove it on the field first.

Someone said this in the comments, and I had to agree. This is what I get from watching SS highlights as well:
You watch his tape, and his tackling form is poor, and he lacks the violence needed to be a true difference maker, like the comment said. You don't see him blowing up running backs, thowing o-linemen or tight ends around, or destroying some receiver coasting thru the middle of the field on a consistent basis.
I'm hoping the coaching staff can pull out the dog out of him, but right now he's not there. Also, the coverage abilities are raw. I just don't like the hype train forming this early on a raw prospect with amazing tools. Setting people up for disappointment if he doesn't come in and immediately dominate.

People keep saying this, but he has never been violent enough in his pursuit angles and overall tackling to be a centerpiece of someone’s defense right now.. it’s usually the guys that have all the physical tools that never get that far into that dark place you have to be mentally to dominate at the middle linebacker position.. and usually it’s due to the fact that he’s never had to eventually go to that place to have a edge on his competition, but now that he’s at the next level, I would like to see how he responds having all of that pressure for consistent controlled violence, we’re considering we haven’t yet seen that out of him. I wouldn’t build my defense around him immediately, you would have to have another dog all pro at his position that he can sit and learn from for at least a year

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread Pt. 2
If it comes out there were serious offers and we held I'm gonna loose it.
But at least we still didn't do anything stupid we stuck it out and picked that annoying but fine we didn't reach and we didn't trade up.
The cowboys are so dumb.
The card are super stupid why did you pay algier while you have a full RB room and then go and draft love. At three making him one of the highest paid rbs in the league. Wild.
The rams are insane. Absolutely insane.
The jets taking Kenyon too is stupid.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread Pt. 2
Now would be the time to trade Payne if you have the chance
Also hot take I don't think we should take any one at 79 if someone's falling or someone wants to jump up with a bunch of late picks for a mid round QB I'd take a trade back in to the early 100s and move on. There are a ton of serviceable starting caliber WR that will still be there in the 4th and 5th rounds. Trade back!

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread Pt. 2
we are drafting at 71 we should trade this pick back for more capital but I bet we do something silly like take a slot WR.
A QB run might happen in the 3 Ed and we might be able to take advantage of that
