Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves - Part 8
OKC just signed Hartenstein. Their lineup this year:
PG SGA/Wallace
SG Caruso/Dort
SF JDub/Wiggins
PF Chet
C Hartenstein/JayWill
They still have a zillion picks, and they have Topic when he gets healthy.
It really would have made a ton of sense for them to trade for Avdija to fill in those extra minutes at PF. I would have been much happier trading Deni for the #12 plus their 2025 HOU pick and their 2026 OKC pick.

At some point, you probably want to see if a team built around Cade is capable of winning anything before you give him $200 million. Unfortunate timing for them that they wasted his entire rookie contract.
They'll probably still be bad enough to have good lottery odds anyways to be honest.

And taking Topic instead of Carrington..
OKC is my pick to win the 2025 championship.

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves - Part 8
Wow, turned down 2 years, $48M to stay...and just took 3 years, $50M to leave.
When they do the 30-for-30 on the Dubs dynasty, I'm gonna be paying really close attention to this part to get the rest of the story here. Really GS? You couldn't have worked this out?
As for Dallas, they get a good deal IMO but the fit is going to be interesting. It's really easy to say "oh just play Klay at the 3" but we saw what that did to an aging MJ when he had to go against forwards for a whole season. But maybe they have a plan to keep Klay healthy in the regular season and unleash him in the playoffs.

Lakers reporter is saying that Klay turned down a 4 year 80 million from the Lakers.

I think it's a bad move by Dallas. I think you can find what Klay gives you at a much cheaper cost. Heck, I'm not so sure that Klay will be better than Josh Green going forward. People always overvalue these old guys for far too long.

Very interesting. In other news, the internet is still undefeated.

No way OKC does that. 2025/2026 picks have much higher value than the middle schoolers we got from Portland.

And there you go. After watching California raid his checks all these years, I guess Texas looks pretty good lol.

they wasn't giving them those picks.... you think they worked for Presti and didn't call him, or know he'd just hang up on them for asking for such a foolish trade.... Deni isn't worth what we got much less what you proposed.... Our players outside of the last 2 drafts aren't that coveted leaguewide..... It's just reality.... Hopefully wont be the case in a few years......
Off topic, I sent you an invite to play 2k a while ago and you never accepted.....

I think it’s a good move for Dallas. The Mavs offense fell apart against Boston. Now you’ve added an outstanding shooter with championship pedigree—and something to prove—for less than $20 mil a year.
But, yes, losing Josh Green will hurt.

If they win a title, then sure... it's worth it. But... at this stage of his career I don't know that KT is that kind of difference maker.

Helluva contract, this is the type of deal Brad should have gotten.

Mitchell doing what Beal did, he's lining up his free agency when he's a 10 year vet.
