I still don't trust end all stats without context.

Clint Capela in that case will end up a Spur. If not another team that drafts well, OKC or Portland e.g. will select him.

I thought Capela was a sleeper before the draft, I had no clue advance models had him this highly rated. I wouldn't be surprised to see him become a solid big man in this league, I WOULD be surprised if he became a perennial all star. Of course, 6 years from now if he does befit the latter, I may have to give WP48 more credit then I do. I still think you have to examine whether a player's physicality and "style" of game will translate at the next level. I have no faith in Cody Zeller at the NBA level even though he was an outstanding collegiate player.

1. Jefferson-I think he plays much better with a better PG. Andre Miller will absolutely maximize him I believe, as will Wall

2. Jokic- Pretty massive center, off chance he's still there at 46.

3. Russ Smith- Again, might not be there but he's a guy we could instantly use.

4. J. O'Bryant- seems like he could be a banger. Haven't honestly seen much of him to be mad or glad if we pick em.

5. P. Young/D. Powell- Both of these guys I would kind of reluctantly choose. I'd absolutely choose young if his standing reach wasn't so abysmal. Powell could be an ok prospect, just haven't seen enough yet and he's almost 23 :/

I don't want EG picking a European. Pecherov, Vesely, Veeremenko, Satoransky... I gotta bias against Jokic for strictly historical reasons.

I'm ok with that mentality. EG does tend to **** up the euro selections. We do need a presence in the middle though. The guys shear size may make him worth looking at (i guess the same could be said of Sim but he's just way too slow). Another guy who was a monster was Birch. He almost had 4 blocks a game...of course DX has the spurs taking him so.... maybe we should consider? lol

Stats DO say Birch will be a monster.
He and Adrien Payne seem like sure contributors, but it always comes down to guaranteed contracts and who drafts them.

Payne reminds me of a Taj Gibson. Not drafted high, but NBA starter and a good one, too.

And he has Walter Tavares 2nd. Somehow, I think his system needs some tweaking.

As a UNC fan...No. Size/length/quickness actually enable him to play both 3 and 4(though another 10 lbs would help at the 4), but has has not post moves whatsoever for the 4 and cant shoot to save his life, so not a wing...

I like him a lot too, he might be Kenneth Faried type of guy, full of energy dunking the ball inside. Good one to come of the bench.

Yeah, Cory Jefferson was my last year sleeper when I was posting about Pierre Jackson all the time.

He would be an athletic big that can shoot. I just wish he had more fire in him.

I would take Embiid #1

Cleveland.

I think they go with Wiggins who is the compromise. The is athletic with upside but he can also defend. Parker is the better team leader and scorer, but not as athletic or as good a defender.

That spells Wiggins as the safe pick for them.

MIL ? - Again, should take Embiid, but they need a team leader and that Parker.

PHI - They will take Embiid. They can afford to wait on him with Noel getting on the floor this year. Sixer have a ton of picks on the way and just did a hard reboot last year. They can afford the risk and reward of an Embiid. And down the road, that's not good for the Wizards.

He can work on his game. He might be the best option at number 46.

I'm hoping for Khem Birch if we keep the pick. Or Russ Smith if he's still available.
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Cavs take Wiggins. Right pick for them. He doesn't need the ball to affect the game.

He doesn't really fit on the Jazz.
