PORTER !!!!!!!!

YES !!!!!!

How awesome the Beal hits a 3! Which is also his number btw!

Cleveland's gotta take Noel, or trade it to someone else that will.

Orlando probably takes Burke, maybe McLemore.

Porter to the Wizards is just so perfect.

Also, drafting Porter could possibly convince Ariza to move on via free agency and turn down his option. If not Ariza and his expiring contract become a nice trade chip. Regardless I hope we keep Webster.

Oladipo is a 2 guard through and through. This may sound silly, but Beal is firmly entrenched in the 2 guard spot. You're taking Oladipo and basically have him come off the bench. A 3rd pick overall gets anywhere between $3.5 to $4.1 million per year his first two years. That is a really expensive bench guy.

With Porter, at least he has the potential to start in 2014. There's questions about Bennett, there's questions about everyone in this draft really, but Porter fits a need, is talented, and basically locks up the 3 spot for the next 10 years.

And Porter is represented by a guy who publicly SLAMMED Wall. I hate David Faulk. I don't want him to get any pleasure. F him. I think Porter's OK, but he's NOT an elite athlete. IMO, he's Tayshaun Prince (a good 4th banana) on a winning team.

I think if Mclemore is on the board, we CAN trade the pick to a willing team b/c the Bobcats, Suns, and Hornets would ALL LOVE to get Mclemore.

Why would we trade with the Bobcats or Suns if McLemore might be there at 4?

If Noel is gone, I would explore trading down b/c Mclemore is the one guy teams would want to trade up for.

If the draft goes like this:

1) Cavs-Porter
2) Magic-Burke
3) Wiz-take Noel and run.

I'd trade down. The Bobcats would LOVE to get Mclemore to pair next to MKG. I'd want the future Detroit 1st as trade compensation, otherwise I'd deal down to the Suns who would also LOVE to get Mclemore. For Phoenix, I'd want Gortat in exchange for Ves+Singleton. The Wiz could then take Porter at 5.

Honestly, I'm not that into Porter. I think he's a safe prospect, but I don't think he's a game changer. He reminds me of Tayshaun Prince.

The Bobcats know we wouldn't take Mclemore, so they wouldn't trade.

Kevin Love would be ideal. I would also be interested in trading the #3 + filler for Ilyasova and a 2014 first.

On the broadcast, they just said Cleveland is looking to trade the pick. That has to be for Mclemore if someone moves up. I doubt it happens though.

I said trade the pick

Porter is ok but he isnt the right fit with Wall and Beal, Webster is an awesome fit and you can find a good SF anywhere, FA, 2nd round, a 3&D guy like Bullock, they literally are anywhere.

Trade the pick, either a trade down, a pick Bennett, or trade it with Okafor/Vesely for a starting guy inside, a guy that can make it happen now.

Ifthey stand still they're picking Bennett at 3 anyway

As much as we need a stretch 4, Ilyasova and Ryan Anderson are not good enough players to trade the #3 overall. Remember, rookies are CHEAP. There's no sense in doubling up on the salary unless you're getting a top 15-20 player like Kevin Love.

Watching the Spurs vs. Grizz game I think we have the potential to play in the mold of the Spurs. Certainly not at that level but there are similarities:

Quick PG
Smart unselfish do it all SG
Older but smart and skilled PF
Defensive Center

We're missing our Kwahi. I think that's Otto Porter.

Except, we'd tell them we'll trade it to Phoenix b/c we'd take whomever is left between Porter and Bennett at 5.

If we couldn't trade down, I'd honesty take Mclemore over Porter. Mclemore, to me (IMO he's a flawed player), has a higher upside b/c of his athleticism.

I agree they have to take Noel if he's there, but... they won't. They want someone who can contribute right away and... they're stupid. But the good thing is - If Noel is there, there will be great trade opportunities. And if Burke is there, there will be great trade opportunities.

My gut says Bennett is not on their radar. They want choir boy types, and he doesn't come across that way. Porter is the most likely to end up the pick, but there's so many odd things that could happen in this draft - nothing is even close to certain. I still wouldn't assume that Ola won't be considered - or that Zeller won't be considered.

This will be a fun time. The Wiz lucked out in this lottery.

I called a Porter/Muscala draft a long time ago and it could actually happen! I'm in a state of shock! Wizards jump up the #3, and Ernie basically says they will try to package the 2nd rounders to move up!

Porter and Muscala!!

But the Bucks could take a major step back next year. If you can get their 2014 first with Ilyasova, I say do it.

I don't think EG is that dense. He's made stupid moves, but when he had the oppurtunity to draft elite talent, he'd didn't pass on Wall & Beal. EG isn't going to pass on a guy who was SURE to be the #1 pick if he didn't get injured. EG knows Noel can be brought slowly b/c of Emeka, Nene, Booker, and Seraphin. EG could even do the S&T idea for Milsapp that's on the FA thread. Moreover, Wall knows of Noel b/c of the Kentucky connection. Noel fits with the defensive approach the team takes.

BTW, Dallas is looking to trade their pick so they can make a run at Dwight. They want the cap room which means we probably won't send a player back. I think we have a couple of trade exceptions? Is that possible to trade for a pick?
