Per David Aldridge of NBA.com:

“Some selfish dudes in here,” Roy Hibbert muttered Friday night, after getting eight shots in the Pacers’ loss to the Wizards. “Some selfish dudes. I’m tired of talking about it. We’ve been talking about it for a month.”

Vogel needs to get control and sit guys who are being selfish. OTOH Vogel is having to incorporate new players. I bet he'd love to have Green and Plumlee back on the team.

they don't move that ball that well and he doesn't get many touches in the paint. Hibbert has some good moves down there they need to feed him the rock more.

David West needs more touches

Spurs just destroyed IND

103 to 77

Wow. Indy is really struggling since that Granger trade.

That's a funny use of cherry-picking. That was the one good season of Kwame's career (PPA of 123 that season, which is actually better than Hibbert's PPA this season.)

Had anyone asked me, I would have recommended against Indy going max for Hibbert. His peak PPA was a 155 two seasons ago, which is good, but not elite. Last season he posted a 129. This season is back down to about league average -- which is where he was his first couple seasons.

Sound to anyone else like he's talking about Paul George?

Nobody looking at the Nets game tonight? They're looking pretty crisp right now.

Where does Hibbert ranks just in terms of centers this year vs last?

BTW, Indiana matched a max offer by Portland. So not much Indiana could do about that unless they were willing to let Hibbert walk. Is that what you thought Indiana should do?

This year, he ranks basically in a tie for 28th among centers with at least 500 minutes. That's on a per minute basis. He's 17th overall among centers in total production. Last season, he ranked 26th per minute and 20th in total production.

My salary formula estimated his value last season at about $9.7 million. This season, about $9.0 million.

I'd have to go back and look at what options Indy had for replacing Hibbert if they'd let him walk. I don't remember paying that much attention to Portland making an offer and Indy matching it. In general, I'm not in favor of overpaying guys.

What a night

NY blows out BRK
DEN blows out NO
CAT stomp Sixers
CAV by 20 over ORL
Wiz stomp BOS
TOR beat HOU
Spurs keep on rolling spanking GS

And New York now holding down the #8 slot in the East.

A little off topic, but consider this:
Tim Duncan's Spurs have won 50 wins or more 16 out of the 17 seasons he has been in the league.

Is he the GOAT? He's at least a contender with Bill Russell for most underrated player ever.

The 1999 season was lockout shortened too and the Spurs won 37 out of 50 games that year, so in essence, they should have 17 straight 50 win seasons.

Duncan should have gotten #5 last year and going for #6 this time around. But he has to be the greatest PF.

This SA team is better than the one that lost in the Finals last year. Parker isn't the same as he was last year (maybe he's coasting though based on his comments after the IND game) and Duncan is playing at a notch below last year but Patty Mills, Leonard, Ginobili, Belinelli, Diaw, and Splitter are all playing better than last year. Danny Green is also a great piece to have defending the Westbrooks, Currys, and CP3s of the West.

The Spurs are undefeated when Splitter scores 10+ points.

It's ridiculous.

with MIA and IND now in a virtual tie, I'm wondering if that MIA @ WiZ
81st game of the season will be important to MIA. The last couple years
we've played them late and MIA was able to afford to rest their big 3.
They may not be able to afford that luxury this year. I'd think that
getting/staying ahead of IND would be more important than taking
a game off for their big 3, except for maybe Wade.

I think Wade is going to play the last few games so he can be conditioned for the playoffs.

LeBron is the one who'll need rest.

Ray Allen and Battier are also getting rest and they've both shown their age this year.

Gotta love Pop. Spurs are down double digits and in the huddle he says he doesn't care about winning or losing the game. He cares about playing the right way, execution.

He clearly was hoping they'd lose soon. Lol

The Thunder won but it felt like the Spurs dominated the first half and the officiating was eh.
