Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
owners are so weird. it's no secret that you have to give the GM control + money in order to be successful and yet so many owners flatly refuse to do so, especially DC owners.
like, if you want to be a hands-on owner, fine. but own it and go 100% like Jerry or the late Al Davis. don't be a backseat driver and cheap out too.
also, lol, nets fired Steve Nash. no coach can handle that team, not even Phil Jackson. Kyrie is incorrigible.

The Lauri Markkanen show continues, Jazz on-top with a blown-up roster and 20th in team payroll

They also have the best-so-far rookie in the league, Walker Kessler.
(...yes, tari eason is right behind him!
)
& how about Mike Conley in his 16th season!

Crazy part about it is this Jazz team would have given the Mitchell/Gobert teams fits with their floor spacing and likely could take them out in a 7 game series.
Shooting matters.
It shines the light on the problem with the Wizards roster.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 5
SAC doing their best OKC imitation last night had almost 120 in the 3rdQ
(when I turned it off and went to bed)
against the supposedly defensively minded Nets. Bad game for BKN.
Durant was the only one scoring, had a good game but couldn't come
close to keeping up with SAC's onslaught of 3s.
Another interesting young team to watch (SAC)

Oh, but how could they have given up precious and rare Tyrese Haliburton for Domantas Sabonis — what were they thinking?!?

You're right. Probably should have traded Fox instead.

Steph Curry, at age 34, is currently averaging:
32.2 points
6.7 rebounds
6.5 assists
2.7 turnovers (lowest in a decade)
.443 3P% (on 11.6 attempts!)
.637 2P%
.695 TS%
He is on pace to have his best season ever!

I was expecting some fists but that was a lot more entertaining. The way that stepladder was being moved around I thought it was going to turn into a wrestling match.

Yeah, it's unbelievable....
I wonder if a guard has ever posted that kind of TS%.

Curry just had 33 points (on .743 TS%) 15 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks and only 1 turnover.
That's just not fair.

Listen to a GM who took over a franchise that was downright terrible/mediocre since the 1970s aside from some times in the 1990s and the 2007-2008 period...

Can we talk about how only 2 games separate 1-10 the place in the west.
