I predicted on facebook the game would be high scoring but not close, 35-21 Bengals. Good chance the opposite happens

Am I a cursed football fan? Lived in dc for 20 frickin years, move away, start rooting for another team, and *then* the commies get a franchise qb

Rarely am I pleasantly shocked but I’m pleasantly shocked. Gotta get JD to take care of himself bc that sure felt like an RG3 rookie year game (that’s a compliment0.

Loved seeing Terry get his and so much for Ekelerregend losing a step. Solid contributions from the young guys too, I never expected any contributions from Mccafrey this year and he looked halfway solid, need to see more Sinnott but old man Ertz is still producing. Can’t say enough about the play calling this game too.

Defense is still worrisome, hearing Allen & Payne are grading out as average.

Jayden and the Commies played a great game. But wow does the Bengals defense suck.

I was super negative last week and I still believe that's justified, but I have to give credit where credit is due. I won't speak on the defense as I haven't gone back and analyzed it (safe to say it wasn't great), but boy, what an incredible performance offensively! There's so much to analyze. Quinn's trust in the offense was big too, some of those 4th down choices weren't super easy to make and this was a game that was won through boldness and execution on that side of the ball.

Just credit to a lot of guys yesterday. Breaking into the footage more this morning.

I don't know what kind of defense this is, but our scheme always being "let's give the WR 10 yards of cushion" stinks.

Daniels was really good last night, although like your typical RG3 rookie game, you wonder when that serious injury is coming. They still insist on running Daniels through the A/B gap like he's a freakin' running back and he does a poor job of avoiding hits. And he missed a few big plays...he could have had 400 yards passing if he kept his eyes downfield for more than a second. With that being said, great to see him finally get the ball to Terry. Terry has been wide open on several plays this year that could have been tuddies if Daniels kept his eyes downfield (he overthrew Terry in the Giants game). The second half he did an excellent job of going through progressions.

Defense is still atrocious. Quinn needs to do something.

I hope Ekeler is okay. He was AMAZING last night.

BTW, I really like what I'm seeing from Coleman. Boy, if we found our QB and his blind side protector in the same draft class, that changes everything.

I'm not worried about him getting injured, it looks like he is adjusting. Like he'll get hit and be like "ok, that was a bad idea" You can see the wheels turning. It's not like he stands up and goes "WOO!!! YEAH! I'M A MAN!"

Dude is some sort of football genius, looking forward to the next game

And THIS is why you get your QB when you have opportunity.

That's for the "trade down and acquire more draft picks" crowd.

If you don't have a stud QB you're in NFL purgatory.

Daniels being this good this early is wonderful! Now the O line has been better than we thought! That's good. We need better WR. Our RB and TE rooms are solid. The defence is not terrible in the trenches but man not good in space. I think it's a player issue and we are gonna have a lot of defence turn over over the next couple of years. Not to mention we have a lot of stop gap defence Playera right now, like the WR room.

jaden getting the ball out quick is making it easier for the o-line at the expense of big plays/production from the WR. putting up 38 pts is plenty, i don't think the WRs are a priority. pass rush and dbs. that's the focus. and while Ertz is good, getting a young TE to grow with Daniels is also a priority.

the window is narrower than with other rookies because Jaden's already 24. we've gotta make moves now. i don't even think we build through the draft. we need to trade picks and get vets and strike when the iron's hot. we've got like 6-8 years to make some noise. can't waste 1-2 years developing young guys.

Yeah, this could be a window - maybe not this season but perhaps in years 2-4 if Daniels can keep it up.

The Commanders already took Ben Sinnott in the 2nd round in 2024 (Troy Aikman was talking him up during the last game).

The defense needs to be fixed for sure. Allen/Payne have had a slow start.

I forget which 2nd rounder they got for Sweat- hopefully they can make a trade like that and get someone like him back.

They don't necessarily have to go for the biggest name free agents like the Redskins did in the 2000s but they should try to find fill out their defense.

The nice thing about football—as compared to basketball—is that there is a LOT of free agent movement in the offseason. So the Commanders could improve very quickly on defense with some savvy signings, especially a quality edge rusher and help at CB.

I also believe that Wash. might have its future tight end in Sinnott.

Yes, could use some help at WR, but McCaffery looks promising and I expect Noah Brown to be a significant contributor once he gets a few more games under his belt.
