I read an article recently that seems to imply that Sarr has not gained much upper body strength over the summer. I'll give him one more year to do that but I'm not encouraged.

His combine weight was 224, more recent reporting has him at 205, so I don’t know what to believe.

That isnt "more recent reporting". That is an old weight getting picked up and repeated.

I thought he looked noticeably bigger in Summer League.

And let's not forget that it's only been 3 months since Sarr played his last regular season game. How much muscle can one man add in 3 months?

The offseason is only half over.

It's easier to cut weight fast than it is to add quality bulk.

This is inaccurate, his reported combine weight (an official weigh) was 224 LBS, post-combine and recent reporting put his weight at 205 LBS, its the "new" weight of 205 that is getting picked-up and reported, so how-much does he actually weigh?

So who exactly weighed him that got 205? Do you think Google weighed him?

205 was his listed weight long before the combine and many, if not most, sites never updated his weight after the combine.

Where is this "recent reporting" that said he is 205? His most recent competition was summer league where he was listed at 224 on the team roster.

Dunno, the only public record that exists of him being weighed is from the combine, and he was 224 LBS

But you just said he was weighed after the combine and that is the weight the websites are posting. If that is the case then it should be no problem for you to find the link to him weighing in at 205, right?

Sarr played as a professional for two years before he was drafted. I would guess the 205 weight was from when he first turned pro several years ago.

Luka is listed at 230. if you think he weighed anywhere near 230 the last two seasons I have some beachfront property in New Mexico that you can buy cheap.

You know we're dealing with some really slow news days  SO, my best guess is there is the recorded weight (224), and the "reported weight" that web sites have been running with, I don't know where one can track it back to, I tried to research it and came-up with nothing.

and it takes a minute to translate added bulk into functional post moves. Can't practice a power move if you have no power.

Exactly. The "new reporting" is just old reporting that gets repeated. That has been going on for decades. Sarr was listed at 205 long before he attended the combine. After the combine the websites didn't update their weights. If they tried to update the actual current weights of all players that would be a lot of additional work.

According to the websites Lebron has gained only 5 pounds since he was at the combine at age 18. Sure

19 and 4 in 14 minutes is crazy. That's a 49/10 game if he played 36 minutes.

Go Alex! Great performance in a friendly today. Let it carry on!

Per the boxscore, Alex and Bilal were the two best French players.

Impressive game. We may have to protect him were
he to be that productive in the nba season.

Fun pick-up game, the level of play wasn't the best, but it was heartening to see Alex and Bilal looking very comfortable and confident with their teammates, already looking forward to Eurobasket where the level of play and competition will be elevated.
