SOOOOOO Excited to get Otto ! Told you guys we'd work out a deal with Stern for the #3 pick if we just keep Jason Collins around for a while. Tomorrow Collins will be a getting a 5 year extension for the vet minimum.

Trade the pick for Cousins?

I know that on our board, we've had backward looking debates as to whether John Wall was the obvious #1 pick.

Necrobumping this, the lottery show thread. At least for the board having, a Ji miracle and getting the #1 pick ping pong ball meant John Wall.

For old timers, reading this thread is a hoot.

You were right four years ago.

Stick this in the Redskins thread and substitute the Pollins with Daniel Snyder.

There was some interestingly bad trade proposals here though like "Iggy/Turner for Wall".

Were talking about a 6-11 low post monster here and he's got a lower TS% than a bricklaying PG. That's simply not going to cut it if he's going to be the franchise big you claim he is.

Two years later, Dat I was right about Cousins.

I have been wrong my share but not about Demarcus Cousins. He's definitely a franchise big man.

John Wall is still better and will probably win a championship before Cousins.

JWiz, Cousins has a PER of 27.6. Per 100 possessions he scores 37.9 points and grabs 20.3 rebounds. Per-36 minutes 26 points, 14 rebounds.

--Every single season his eFG and ORtg have improved. His DRtg has improved the last three seasons.

--He's #2 behind Anthony Davis in PER. He's #2 in total and offensive rebound %. He's #10 in WS/48.

--Sacramento is 9-6 with Cousins, and 2-8 without him.

Your OPINION is just that, JWiz. You cannot prove Wall is better. I don't want to say Wall isn't as good but I still say Cousins is a great basketball player. I remember what this board in general said 4 years ago.

What was our record without Wall compared to when he came back 2 years ago?

Wall is a PG, I'm not about to compare stats at two completely different positions. Wall is 10x the leader Cousins is, he makes every one around him that much better. I didn't say Cousins isn't a great player. I just think that Wall is a better franchise player and will lead any team to wins far more than Cousins will ever do (See Kevin Love). You could redo that draft over and over, I'm taking Wall every time. When Wall is kissing his first Championship, I'll PM you #Proofenough

He has not but he can shoot, unlike Wall.

When Wall learns to shoot, then he can take a quantum leap ahead of Knight. John is NEVER going to shoot it like Kyrie Irving and I don't think he's going to be as good a player. Period. John has the defensive tools but does not bring it consistently at that end of the floor. Irving OTOH can help a team in transition or in half court.

Hmmmm....

Two years later here's one I think I was wrong about.

John Wall is better than Kyrie Irving. Wall's defense and playmaking are at a whole different level. Kyrie is a scorer who doesn't make others better.
Bye bye Beal.

THIS.

That many on this board went into DEFCOM 5 meltdown when Ji created the thread still makes me laugh. Reading the thread from Page 1 on is an enjoyable and hilarious trip down memory lane.
