Is Lebron A Possiblity?
I talked about this the other day but not many saw it. I said I have never ever thought it was possible before so it never would even cross my mind but after the Cavs were eliminated I said that it wouldnt shock me at all if we were a dark horse for Lebron. DC is a solid size market, we have now a great new owner in Leonsis, everyone loves to live in DC, and everyone keeps talking about Lebron loving Rose & Noah but what about Gil & Dray? I think he would consider that and I think he likes the thought of a coach like Flip Saunders. I said add in a top 5 pick and we may be a dark horse because he's friends with Gil and if he see's Gil looking like a beast this summer then he may consider us. Now you add to that the #1 pick and I still think Lebron and maybe now even a Wade would look at that but espically Lebron. Wade would still be iffy because we will most likely draft a guard but if you team Lebron with Gil, Wall or Turner, Dray, Livinston, Singelton, and Thorton then I think we look pretty good.
I also think McGee will soon take a solid leap espically if we have playmakekrs around him. I think we can make a nice jump even without a Lebron type and it may be better to play one more year and then go after a Melo the following year but Im just saying it wouldnt shock me. Everyone loves the Bulls every year but they never do anything. Id rather be on the Wiz in our system. Even if we dont get him though, I feel good about our new look, espically with the new system. The combo of Gil/Livigston or Gil/Wall, or Gil/Turner looks very good in Flip's new system which makes it more friendly for both spots, atleast Offensively. I think no matter what, we will have a very good player beside Gil that will make him elevate his game. Alot of you probably want him gone now though. I think that may be possible only if a team like Orlando gets killed by Boston and Othis Smith wants Gil

From many years of observation, defying all laws of probability, I assert without hesitation, that Lebron is an impossibility.
What was the question again?

Wiz trade Josh Howard, Andray Blatch, Al Thornton + Javale Mcgee + 2010 1st Round Pick to the Cavs for a signed Lebron James, That is if Lebron agrees to come to DC and Cleveland doesn't want to lose Lebron for nothing, but this is entirely dependent on Lebron on whether he wants to play in washington without any core players. P.S The 2010 1st rounder are the deal breaker here, no if's or buts and no Dan Snyder will not take Arenas contract nor his antics with him in Cleveland, it's expirings and the 2010 1st pick or bust.

^ Okay, I'll bite.
That offer is terrible. Poorly conceived, and based on a complete lack of information that reveals that you didn't bother to do any research.
Moreover, why would the Wizards - who have plenty of cap space - need a sign and trade to acquire L_B___ if he's willing to come to DC?
IBTL. This kind of tripe should be in the trade thread, where it can be pilloried or ignored alongside the other poor trade offers fanboys like to come up with.

Isn't Washington DC the most crime infested city in America?
Not sure how you come to everyone wants to live there.
Its nifty how many national monuments you have but I think that makes it so everyone wants to VISIT there.

Re: Is Lebron A Possiblity?
First off, nobody is going to do a sign and trade including LeBron - he wouldn't want to devastate his future team's chances. That's just not gonna happen. But regardless, I think there are far too many unknowns with the Wizards now for Lebron to come here. Gil needs a year under his belt before people take him seriously again, and McGee is not a selling point - the guy is still a mess. I really see Chicago as the far and above front runner right now, assuming he leaves Cleveland. If he goes anywhere else, it will be to New York - I just don't see Washington in the running.

I think you're thinking of the late 80s, early 90s. Welcome to 2010 - no, DC is no longer the most crime infested city in America.

Um, this isn't the late 1980s, pal. Have you visited Detroit or New Orleans (post Katrina)? Time to update your stats...

the extra 30 mil, bud, Lebron is not leaving that to the table and Cleveland will not sign and trade him without getting assets back.

Wtf: I was just posting why I thought some people might not want to live there. I guess you guys have dropped down the list a bit but your still like top 5 at the very worst in most crime.

Re: Is Lebron A Possiblity?
Miami is more dangerous to live in than DC. DC wasn't ranked in the top 15 of most dangerous cities for 2008. I'm not sure where they were ranked in 2009, but crime went down last year. Anyway, we're acting like Lebron is going to be living in Southeast if he came here. VA is his most likely spot.
