PM Update: Heat wave breaks more records
First back-to-back 100+ days in D.C. since 1999
Highs (official): DCA 102 (record), IAD 101 (record), BWI 101 (record)
Our heat wave continues its crest and records are again falling across the area. National, with a high of 102, has solidly destroyed the previous record for the day by several degrees. BWI's previous record of 99 has also succumbed while Dulles has tied its previous record high. Highs around or above 100 area-wide are accompanied by slightly higher humidity levels today. While not brutal by local standards, the higher dew points are making things feel a bit worse than yesterday with heat indices near and over 105.
