Do we have to hate the Heat now?

I end up hating almost everything that revolves around Lebron James. I used to respect the Heat, but, now I really hate Lebron for what a douche that he was to all of his fans at Cleveland, and, now he just wants to join the Miami Heat bandwagon as an F U to all the fans at his home. I really hate the Heat, and, now I don't respect them because they were an enabler to Lebron for le Decision, and, they allowed LeCrybaby James to take control of an entire news cycle just so he could have his "press conference" to decide where he wanted to go just so he could upset all of his former fans.

I feel the need to hate the Heat now. What about you?

They'll never go down as one of the greats. Just dick riders. The whole league hates them and they deserve it.

Oh but it will be so hard to let my latent fondness for that wonderful franchise go, it will be a struggle.

Because I think clarity is very important it should be pointed out that nobody liked the Heat this time yesterday anyway.

LOL at NY fans chanting Carmelo. They are the dirty whores of the NBA. They have no dignity.

Hate the Heat. Love the Mamba. Wait on Wall. Pray for Gil.

That should just about sum it up.

Oh, and SVG has to be my favorite coach. What is it with those Van Gundy boys, always wanting to tangle with the giants? Gotta love their spunk.

In case anyone missed the SVG interview:

R. Your thoughts on all this free agency stuff?

SVG: It’s gotten ridiculous I think. It’s really I mean it’s almost like a parody of itself this whole situation now. Come on, an hour long? It takes 15 seconds to say I’ve decided to stay in Cleveland but we’ve got another 59 minutes and 45 seconds to, what? Promote LeBron James? As if we don’t do that enough. Look, the guy’s a great player and wherever he goes, my bet would be Cleveland, that place will be excited. But an hour long special?

R. Sign of the times, I guess.

SVG: It is a sign of the times. Unfortunately. It’s amazing that a guy as good as Kobe Bryant simply extended his contract with no real fanfare or anything else.

R. Kevin Durant did, too.

SVG: Yeah and Kevin Durant is more in the Kobe Bryant mode. You don’t hear Kobe Bryant and certainly not Kevin Durant talking about their brand. They don’t. I hear that from the other guys. I don’t hear those guys talking about their brand, they’re simply basketball players who want to be great players and win games. Not that those other guys aren’t great players and don’t want to win games. They do, but there’s also more to it. It’s not what I like. Other people, I guess, like it. I’m sure it will be a widely watched show tomorrow. It simply will not have me as a member of that audience.

R. Bosh and Wade had their announcement on ESPN. Said he’s joining Wade.

SVG: Well, he’s been following him around for two weeks like his lapdog. So that doesn’t really surprise me.

 Go Magic!!!!!!!

You're not required to hate the Heat now, but you should because it is the right thing to do.

The old school players are trashing Lebron. Barkley and Miller on NBAtv now says Lebron's championships won't mean squat.

Bird never left
Magic never left
Jordan never left.

They certainly hope so.

And this seems like the right time and place to say that wearing black shoes and white socks on the court ain't classy at all. Dress like you get paid Miami.

Groupthink stinks, and if you're not on board with that... just kidding. I would kill to have either Wade or Bron on my team, so I spect I'll... not hate Miami. I'm mostly interested in how they'll put a supporting cast together.

Hate is pretty strong. Not sure I can use it for basketball. But the Heat have been in "basketball hate" land since 2005 playoffs. Wade's not (to me) a d**k like LeBJ, and I wouldn't mind having him on my team (also unlike LeBJ) but they're the presumptive all-universe champions for the next twenty years and they feature the most obliviously arrogant and innocently narcissistic "superstar" in all of sports. LeBJ's the kind of person that will sucker punch you, apologize, extend a conciliatory hand, sucker punch you again as you reach for his hand, and whine to the principal if you retaliate. He's the kind of person that constantly f**ts and pretends it's someone else, the kind of person that will continually say "it's all for the kids" to the adults, even as everyone, young and old, can see he has no interest in the kids, the kind of person that quits when the going gets rough, and blames anything but his all-world self (I've never heard the oft-quoted and humble LeBJ say anything self-critical).

But hate is a strong word. I look forward to him losing to the Wizards and almost any other team.

I no longer have any animosity towards Lebron since his interview tonight. He's shown himself in a different light and he was very humble. I wish him the best on his new endeavor.
