It seems like EG is stockpiling soft, low-efficiency, perimeter shooters who don't rebound or defend.

Yeah, it's a shocker that no all-stars were available to try out for the 13th spot on the roster...

Wasn't Mardy Collins a CCJ fave?

Anyway, I'd like to see them keep Martin. But giving guys like Morrison and Marks a tryout... there's nothing wrong with that.

Howard might not be ready to go come October. Why not bring in a bust with a chip on his shoulder.

:o I thought this was a joke at-first, is Ernie determined to accumulate every reject and has-been available? It's embarrassing :noway:

If you're not excited about our rock and roll hair potential in camp we'd better just go ahead and plug the jaws of life into the DC adapter.

Rumors of Obo with Marks and Ammo in the bag? Sheesh, our cup runneth over; we'll be reenacting scenes from Dazed and Confused before long (possibly in both actual thespian terms and then in a figurative on court sense too). But Marks is still the key - he has a certain "Mark knows Maori psychedelics" twinkle of madness about him.

You must have the inside scoop on EGs strategy.

Career 0.373 FG. Why exactly is he know for his shooting ?

I think this is what sealed the deal for Ernie.
Morrison's career hasn't been the same since suffering a season-ending knee injury before his second season in Charlotte.

Its fine by me.

AT gets first dibs. They called him out to be in shape to be ready.
Then Nick gets his minutes there which I like. Get him more aggressive and rebounding.
Then Howard rolls in after a month or two and back them up.

Its a evaluation year. This is actually good for us. We need to see what we have.

Step up or step out.

Lots of players have the talent to be better then they have produced. Some of them are going to step up and surprise people. Some won't.

That is what we need to find out.

If we hit on all the upside players, we will be great. If we miss on them all we will suck.

That is the magic of this season. Its wide open.

Its brilliant. Low risk. Huge reward.

Lots of players playing for a contract. Max effort. Players hungry for that raw meat.

Good timing also. Give him a week to get out here and settle in.

I like it.

It would be brilliant if these guys could actually play. At least Yi actually has physical ability. Morrison does not. This is an absolute no risk, no reward move. And I know there's alot of fringe NBA'ers who weren't lottery busts who are 'hungry for raw meat'.

I'm not going to bash Ernie for this. Morrison is just getting a training camp invite so when he sucks, we'll just cut him but when looking at the overall picture it seems that Ernie is more interested in finding a 'name' as opposed to actually scouting for a diamond in the rough or finding someone that actually might fill a need.

I'd bet there's 20-30 players in the NBDL who would have better choices but no point crying over what amounts to a meaningless camp invite.
