I've come to conclusion that are jersey's aren't horrible, just the name and stupid logo. The colors are alright.

You are dealing with an entirely different Gilbert Arenas now.

NBA fans, and Wizards fans (who doubted him) alike are going to be eating a whole lot of crow when Gil is tearing this league up this season.

Make no mistake about it, there's a reason he's not smiling even when asked; This man is 100% about business right now.

MMA fighters fear 2 men. One is Chuck Norris. The other is... well, I think we all know.

The other must be a Milwaukee Buck right?

Maybe you should spend a little less time on that hapless Redskins forum you moderate, you would more in tune with what's going on with the NBA team you supposedly follow.

Not a zinger at all, although reaching into the crates and digging out the Chuck Norris meme, well.. gee, it would be mighty hard to top that one.

Gilbert looks depressed :(

The last three years have been pretty tough on him, I hope he is mentally well.

Edit: DAMN Dray looks like a beast!!

Wow, that looks like an old Rick Mahorn picture. Part of that is - he has gotten bigger, and the other part shows Yi - as great shape as he's probably in - has a thin frame, but he probably is a legit 7'.

I don't think there has been much question about Yi's height, rather that he plays aggressively enough to use it to his advantage.

Here is a story on Gil speaking:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcspor ... lbert.html

Im so glad that Gil is doing this. This is what I want. Serious to the media, more leadership, but having fun on the court. He tried to be serious one time before but it transfered onto the court where he also didnt smile.

I remember commenting how it reminded me of the year Sean Taylor started doing that and Sean had his worst year. Then the next year he was more mature & serious but on the field he started celebrating & playing with joy again. Then he started beasting. I want Gil to do the same. Be serious but dont be so serious on the court that you dont have any fun and end up playing stiff. Thats not him. Have the best of both worlds and he will dominate this year

Gilbert looks stronger than ever. I hope he can back to the mid season form he was in last year. I hope the explosiveness is still there. Blatche is definitely a bit bigger up top. I kinda wanna go to the practice at the patriot center now

Gil's added bulk (provided he has not lost any speed) should more than make-up for his lack of height at SG. The biggest fear defensively for Gilbert at the 2 is him being constantly taken down in the post, but as evidenced by our own Earl Boykins, having some added girth can many times offset height when it comes to being posted up.

I like the serious demeanor from Gil from a leadership standpoint, but there's also a time for just enjoying yourself. It's like he's either completely serious or a complete goof ball, with no middle ground. I just hope he's enjoying his family, his life, his job. Life's too short to let some media idiots get to you. This is just my interpretation at least, I really don't know how he's feeling.

Quotes like these are good news to me:

"He seems upbeat to me," Al Thornton said. "We've been playing pickup and everything, [and] he seems friendly, smiles, joking, the usual Gil."

"I see the regular Gil, the behind-the-scenes Gil," JaVale McGee said. "Of course he's gonna be professional, he's going the professional route as of now in the media."

"He jokes around quite a bit with us in the locker room and stuff like that," Cartier Martin said. "I guess maybe he's maturing a little bit."
