This is the 1st time I have wanted the Wizards to do well

Yes. This is the 1st time I have actually wanted the Wizards to do well
Why you ask?
Well because 90% of this team is next year's BULLETS team.
The BULLETS are my squad.
Period.
In the past I have also supported locals on other teams Robinson (Spurs) & Ewing (Knicks) but the BULLETS will always be my team.
I hope this season (going into next season) does not end up being a total disaster.
Hopefully this year goes well and next year goes even better.
If not well then I am fully prepared to offer my jumpshot services for the league minimum next year or better yet I will scout local playgrounds over the summer and then contct the team for an open tryout for the talent I have rounded up.
Something has to be done.
The new BULLETS era starts now.

^ Not as weird as this guy.
Those were the days though.
As a matter of fact I do not think he has set foot inside the MCI/VERIZON CENTER since it opened.
Good for him.

Next year everybody on here with the word "Wizards" in their name is going to have to either change it to something else or keep it and no longer be relevant to the board.

WANTED: 1,000 yuppies to respond to every post that WesTinyAbe leaves on the board.
Bonus if you complain about traffic and the layout of the city and talk about how the city needs to "move forward" beyond "old style thinking".

I've been advocating the opening of more starbucks and H&M stores for a while. I think a few more apple stores would be nice as well.
Next year I plan on moving into one of the luxury apartments located in DC.

Too bad Ted has already publicly "punted" on the decision to change the name of the team to the Wizards.
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcspor ... on_wi.html"I'm being very sincere and direct, I've probably gotten 8,000 e-mails, and I'll betcha 2,500 of them have argued very passionately why we should change the name back to the Bullets, or why we should keep the name Wizards, or why we should have a new name," he said. "And a re-branding effort is truly a massive undertaking, because people forget, you're not just changing a name or creating a new name in your own building for your own team, it ripples through national television, all the local networks, all the local teams. I mean, it's a big effort, and it honestly takes no less than 25 months, and it's millions and millions and millions of dollars.
"And so I have so much to do, and there's so much work immediately in front of us, and there are so many investments that we need to make, I've honestly decided to just punt on the decision. I don't think it's a decision that heeds to be reached right now. I think the most important thing is rebuild the team and get through this list of 101 things to do.
"I do want to change the colors. I think that it's very natural for all of the teams to play in that building to sport a red, white and blue motif, and so yes, the fans can expect some kind of re-imagineering, an homage to the past in terms of colors and design. But as to the name change, there really is zero going on right now."

There is zero going on right now because we are still 1 year away from next season.
Trust me as we get closer to next season he will be singing a different tune entirely.
He is just trying to take all of the attention away from next season and focus on this season.
Get used to seeing John Wall in a BULLETS jersey because at this time next year that is exactly what he will be wearing.

I like the way WTA deftly referenced Robin Ficker in the 3rd person to try and throw us off the trail.
It's OK, Robin, you can come out now. We love ya and we're looking forward to what you'll come up with to harass LeBron once you finally do go into Ted's house.

I change my mind. i want to keep the existing name/color scheme or change the name to Yuppies. Anything to piss the likes of WTA off must be a good thing.
