I just want to survey the landscape and see if there is any interest in doing a board outing for happy hour and a game sometime. In the old days, we used to do this a lot. It was fun and interesting to meet up with the fellow boardies.

My personal issue is that my availability is limited to weekends (I want to preserve my weekends for my family). And my workload is pretty high now. I can do it the first two weeks of Dec and then any time after the new year.

If you're interested, sing out here via reply. If there's enough interest, I'll get some info from my Wiz tix agent about options, etc.

I'm always interested. My schedule is always morphing at work so not sure if I would actually be able to make it or not.

I'm interested now that I'm finally of age to Happy Hour with you guys! Never met any of you personally and now that I'm a fresh 21, no time like the present.

My schedule (like Scabs) is pretty awkward and sporadic, but if if works out, I'd really enjoy putting a face to you guys over beer and basketball.

I'm down. The last couple I went to were cool and it would be nice to catch up with folks.

I'll be in town over Thanksgiving weekend and the week between Christmas and New Year. If you guys do it during either of those timeframes, I think I can make it. (I have no idea if the Wizards have any home games then.)

I'm interested, but it would be difficult for me until January. Major event at work, plus travel.

Orlando on Thanksgiving Saturday I think.

ORL on T'giving Sat is on the schedule

I have full season tix so I'm game anytime I can get
there early enough, but there's the rub. Let me suggest
a Sat game. The only thing about the above game is that
my daughter's travel team has a tourney (which is local)
but will be playing 2 games that day. Won't know when
those games are as far as exact times for a while.

Weekday games are pretty hard to get to with enough
time to spare to make it to a HH. Besides, I don't drink
(what a liar).

Count me in. I like the idea of a weekend game for a happy hour. Much easier for everyone to get downtown.

I do always enjoy having unavoidable scheduling conflicts but if the date is worked out far enough in advance I might even have to show up.

its funny after getting burned by those that always seem to have those scheduling conflicts all the time you just learn to join em and make your own. Anyways, I'd take a trip to DC in Feb-marchish for a game if we got enough old-timers involved.

And for any old hands that had to put up with me back then...noobs need not apply (sorry), I do have 2 tix to the Bulls WIZ game this saturday alas I have a scheduling conflict. 6th row lower level. No BS. SD went out and got himlelf some season tix a few years back when the bulls stunk and worked my way down to the 6th row through the years.

2 Tickets are free for any old hand that wants them. This Saturday. WIZ BULLS!!! United Center 11-13-10 I will be leaving town early saturday morning so id be happy to give them up...if no takers that are going to be in chitown that weekend I will put them up for sale.

Hmm...that might work for me. My girlfriend can't make the game and I gave up trying to get someone else to go after two rejections so maybe I'll just fly solo and meet you beforehand. I can probably meet up at 5:30/ 6 ish. Let me know, donkey.

Although I'd love to finally meet some of you -- not so much for game, but the pre-pre-game bar crawl, the pre-game yagerbomb contest, and the last minute guinness chug and parking lot walk -- it's well documented that I work weekends. Which I'm guessing was the first consideration in the scheduling process. "Hell no, not Monday. It's gotta be a weekend. There's still a 1% chance barely will show on any other day. I'm not risking that."

I went to the game it was awesome.

I will be at the Grizzlie game coming up with some YMCA kidders.

I'll be in town around Christmas time, and would love to catch a game with some of you blokes if we can work out the timing.
