Kevin Seraphin and Trevor Booker deserve more minutes after tonight's game. Impressive and fun to watch. We finally had inside presence that made the opposition suffer. BASH ON!

Man crush engaged on Kevin Seraphin. He is a monster waiting to be unleashed.
The league should be warned.

Much better than the mash-up "BooKevin" I came up with in the chat.
Long live the Bash Brothers Era.

Check out the Seraphin photo album over on ESPN! There's six shots and it's great because it's seriously "Where's Waldo?" style with him barely being in any of 'his' pics at all.

sad because I love McGee but it is patently obvious Kevin is the better fit at center alongside blatche.
I get the same impression. I like the idea of pairing a skill/finesse player like Blatche with a physical goon like Seraphin who can set picks and grab defensive boards. Likewise, it kinda makes sense to pair Booker with McGee - although Booker isn't so great on the defensive glass to cover for McGee when he's roaming around to block shots.
That said, neither Booker nor Seraphin are better than Blatche or McGee yet. It's really not even close. What we need is for one of Booker or Seraphin to make a giant leap forward and legitimately challenge one of Blatche or McGee for the starting role.

You are probably right there.
However i can't see any reason for playing Yi and Armstrong over the Bash Brothers at this point.

I don't know if its the fact that ArmYi are so bad or that The Bash Brothers are actually that good but it was amazing to see the impact of those two on the game last night. We've been missing that type of physical, grind it out type of play since I don't know when. Seraphin honestly did remind me of a young Jahidi last night. Not as fat, but an immovable force who is quick on his feet and won't back down from anyone. Booker's energy level was great and his ability to finish in traffic was a revelation.

Booker/Seraphin are a great combo. We haven't had two players who exude toughness like that in a very very long while. They are both a great compliment to Wall/Young/Arenas. We'll get shots up, just let them box and scrap under the rim on both ends of the floor.
That being said, we HAVE to play Blatche. So maybe interchanging these guys make sense alongside Blatche. Seraphin in? Let him guard centers. Booker in? Blatche guards the center. It's not an ideal situation, but it's one where there is actually hope of coming up with rebounds/steals in the paint at a much higher rate.
Even a McGee/Seraphin combo could be fun to watch. A Barkley/Rick Mahorn type combo could be nice.

Blatche with Serra -- that's a combination I would like to see.

In honor of the original Bash Brothers (McFilthy & McNasty), I think I'd save that moniker until the Wiz trade for Kevin Love. Kev & Kev would be a worthy successor to Ruland & Mahorn. Heck, looks like the makings of a buddy flick if you ask me! Throw in the Wes Unseld - Bob/Kevin Love connection, and it's gotta happen!

D'oh! Memory starting to fade..... Ruland & Mahorn were the Bruise Brothers, not Bash Brothers...
Still like the idea of getting Love, though...

There was a moment in last nights game where Artest drove into the paint and drew a foul on either Seraphin or Booker. But both guys roughed him up. Artest was in serious pain after that play. One hell of a personal but clean foul by the two.
That's the kind of stuff we need. Teams need to think twice about driving into the paint.

+1 We've had lay-up drills for years against the Wiz.

Yeah i remember watching Artest shaking his head after getting his bell rung.
I don't really care how the minutes are distributed among the bigs as long as ArmYi stay glued to the pine.
