The few supportive replies stand out oddly, as if Terd could shoot someone on F street in front of everyone and they would still love him. I'm very worried about the sanity of anyone who supports him. We need to call a doctor right now.

Probably Hands11

Even Hands has started to question the management skills of Ernie. Miracles do exist.

The mooney times is a rag, but at least their sport section doesn't resemble the official news outlet of the Wizards like the Post does.

This was the team that Leonsis took over when he assumed full ownership of the Wizards after the death of Abe Pollin in 2009 — the latest version at the time being the dysfunctional, embarrassing team built by general manager Ernie Grunfeld, who just completed his 15th season in the job and, based on some rumors, received a contract extension during this season, with a regular season record of 526-665 to show for it.

Shocking if true, then again, not so shocking. #soWizards

I think Boswell and Steinberg are anti EG at post. I mostly blame a beaten down, apathetic, apparently unkowledgeable fan base for not running EG out of town, especially after the gun play. I suppose some other coach/gm was in his job for 15 years in some sport without ever being in the final 4, but can’t think of one.

It really says something that Ted and MSE can't even come out in public and say what Ernie's contract status is. He has to be extended in secret with word getting out via anonymously-sourced stories.

This screams for a contract extension:

July 7, 2016: Traded a 2021 2nd round draft pick to the Utah Jazz for Trey Burke.

July 7, 2016: Signed Ian Mahinmi to a multi-year contract.

July 7, 2016: Signed Andrew Nicholson to a multi-year contract.

July 7, 2016: Signed Jason Smith to a multi-year contract.

July 7, 2016: Signed Daniel Ochefu to a multi-year contract.

Jeff Fisher's run in Tennessee is the only one I can think of that's remotely comparable. Note that Fisher did make it to a Super Bowl and had several other deep playoff runs.

I think the extension combined with the lack of transparency might be the last straw for a lot of DC area fans. He's literally and figuratively half the man he used to be. Fat Ted was a good man.

Disgusting. I really hope someone lost their job on that bizarre ad campaign, no matter how well intended. There was one where G-Wiz was paired with the commander of the World War II Tuskegee Airmen. No adults in the room when that was approved.

https://www.reddit.com/r/washingtonwizards/comments/8hewul/can_someone_explain_what_the_problem_with_ted/#bottom-comments

I have spoken about this before...I worked at a startup who took first investment in from Ted and it is insane how similar it was to the Wizards. Employees always blaming each other, lack of interest in the company and lack of management being held accountable. It starts from the top and Ted has shown to create an awful trickle down effect.

In our jobs...we have the sense of "if I don't do well I might get let go" whether you're a CEO of a Fortune 500 company...to being a janitor at a Walmart. That is the thought.

Ted has created this illusion for Ernie that there is nothing he can do that will backfire on him.

That is what pisses off the fans the most. Also Ted watched game 6 courtside and saw how a Raptors bench dismantled ours and still did not receive the message.

(Also his "when you get more followers" tweet when someone tweeted at him saying when he is gonna care about the Wizards as much as he cares about the Caps)
