So who's going to be in the starting lineup this time? We like to keep people guessing so.......

Image

Behind Curtain No 1, starting at point guard it is the (hopefully) franchise savior, the rookie who appears unaware there are gears between 1 and 5..

Image

John "I can't drive 55" Wall

Image

OR

The player formerly known as Agent Zero and current author of the NY Times bestseller "Defecation Nation"

Gilbert "I'm having trouble adjusting to.... my new jersey number" Arenas

Image

OR

Image

Kirk "I love to dribble even though I suck at it" Hinrich

Image

Behind Curtain No 2, starting at shooting guard, it is....... one of the stiffs left over from Curtain No 1.

Behind Curtain No 3, starting at small forw.....what the....

*insert loud noises here*

"F*** outta here with that curtain, I got this!"

Al "Tunnel Vision" Thornton

Image

Behind Curtain No 4, starting at power forward, it is...

Image

Trevor "WTF are you looking at?!" Booker

Image

OR

Yi "I take suck to hitherto unseen heights" Jialian

Image

yeah i know it isn't a Wizards jersey. Hopefully he won't be wearing one long.

OR

Andray "You guys miss me yet?" Blatche

Image

Behind Curtain No 5, starting at center, it is

Kevin "I foul therefore I am" Seraphin

Image

OR

Javale "Did I really get benched for that French Fouling Machine?" McGee

Image

Now for the NY Knicks, winners of 6 straight games but no doubt cowering at the thought of facing the Mountain of Yi...

Starting at point guard we have...

Raymond "Hey Hilton, can I borrow some of your neck?" Felton

Image

At shooting guard...

Larry.... drawing a blank here....Fields

At small forward...

Danilo.... dude always looks like he just got startled awake... Gallinari

Image

At power forward..

Wilson.... I got nothing for this stiff either.... Chandler

And last but not least, starting at center, we have

Amare "I've got that extra POW!" Stoudamire

Image

Awesome game thread.

I figured the other one would be merged. Since it didnt

News: Wall (foot) is not sure whether he will be able to play Friday against the Knicks, the Washington Post reports.

Spin: Wall missed the seventh game of his young career Wednesday night, and his foot problems don't seem to be getting any better. He said after the game that the pain that started in his arch has spread to his toes, making it difficult for him to cut, jump or push off his foot. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Wizards give him a couple of games off to try to get this problem to clear up, but for now he's considered questionable for Friday.

Wall video out injury.

John Wall must learn to balance aggression and caution

Poor Dray. Is anyone talking about him and his hip ?
Ah, from the game preview.

Big man Andray Blatche has averaged 22.3 points in his last three meetings with New York, but was also unavailable Wednesday for the second straight game due to a hip contusion. He's uncertain to play Friday.

So if not Dray and no Wall again, who will he start this time ?

Maybe.

Gil, Nick, AT, Booker, McGee
Kirk, Gee, Martin, Seraphin
Armstrong, Yi

The idea here would be that Gil will play a more balanced PG/SG with Nick out there since he likes and plays well with Nick. AT played well last game. Those are you 3 primary scorers. Booker is strong and quick for setting picks and D and McGee gets the start after a benching so he is hungry to play solid again.

So Wall's injury is not only bad, but it's getting worse?

This is all starting to make me feel really uncomfortable. With the injury history of this team, all of this really sucks.

How about this little gem.

Even with us still working on getting our best players on the court at the same time and missing that mark by a mile, after 21 game we are only 2 games behind the 8th seed.

Making the playoffs as the 8th seed would be a long term disaster for this team. This team still needs one more top level prospect.

The good thing is that no way this team will finish with a record good enough for the playoffs. Unless the light bulb suddenly goes off for all the low IQ players on this team, we'll finish with a guaranteed top 5 pick.

Does anyone else think that Wall's injury is related to those weird Reeboks?

Jameer Nelson spraigned his ankle the first week he started wearing them and has since stopped
:o

Thanks guys. This is the first real game thread I have ever done. I was thinking how could i do a game thread without knowing the starters? Then the curtain idea came to me out of the blue and i was like ok i need to try this one. It look a long time to write out the post though.

Sucks about Wall. Seems like this team is the Blazers-east.

if for once we can get the real starting lineup of Wall-Gil-Al-Dray-McGee then we will look like a totally different team. Look at our record and look at theres. However, look at our roster and look at theres. Id still take ours but theyve been completely healthy since day 1 of training camp.

If we have that group tonight then we win an look alot better

The Knicks are a really interesting team right now. They're 4th on offensive efficiency and 20th in defensive efficiency.

For just that reason, they'd be wise to eschew another high-usage offensive acquisition (Melo) in favor of someone that can help them on D.

Marcus Camby would be the perfect fit. Beloved former Knick who can strengthen their D from the middle out and allow Amare to play very little center. He's only signed for another year too. I wonder how both teams would feel about Eddy Curry/Anthony Randolph for Camby/Rudy Fernandez. Portland saves cash and gets a nice prospect in Randolph. He does play the same position as Aldridge, but th Blazers need to rebuild with young talent, period.
