Andray Blatche, JaVale McGee reportedly get into altercation

The Wizards have been dysfunctional on the court this season, but may also have some disharmony off it. Multiple league sources have confirmed that teammates Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee were involved in an altercation outside an area club early Friday
morning.

Witnesses have said that the players were screaming expletives at each other, but two league sources added that Blatche and McGee also exchanged several punches at the Shadow Room in Northwest Washington.

A Wizards spokesman released a statement late Friday that read, "The team looked into the matter earlier today and determined it was simply a disagreement between teammates."

According to one source, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not at liberty to speak on behalf of the team, teammate Al Thornton tried to step in and separate Blatche and McGee but was punched by a club bouncer. No arrests were made and no one was injured.

In two text messages, Blatche denied that he and McGee have any conflict, but admitted they did get physical in effort to avoid the disagreements going on around them. "Only one push cause [sic] we was tryin [sic] to leave and it was fights around
us. Why would we fight we are team mates [sic]."

The Wizards did not practice on Thursday or Friday and will travel on Christmas to San Antonio, where they will practice in the evening. They will play the Spurs on Sunday

good, hopefully beating each other up will help them learn how not to be soft asses on the court

Blatche was probably just frustrated after that horrible game. I hope he can build up his trade value.

No, as a professional security camera myself this is in fact, footage of the fight.

Really I take this as a positive sign. if Dray is feeling up to hurling himself around like an enormous man missile surely his knee must be close to fully recovered. JaVale, however, still doesn't know how to use his length properly.

Also why do we keep doing this whole "my power forward is taking bad shots, trade him for the guy with a .46% TS" dance? I like power forwards with good TSesessses...s. Like Tyrus Thomas, he's actually playing really well this year. Why don't people say we should trade for Tyrus Thomas?

unless by 'punched' they meant 'punched with the supercharged cattle-prod/tazer while being sprayed in both eyeballs with a 1:2 part mix pepper spray and sulphuric acid combo while being told to "calm down"', that i would totally expect, being in "...the land of the screened, and the home of the tazed" and all.
