Good thread, homie. I tell you one thing, if not now then when? This is the time of our sked to make our run and we are at full strength. Start Wall over Kirk and then we have our real lineup and can see what we really look like for the 1st time all year

wow..just looked at the standings. We have the 2nd worst record in the NBA. How is that possible with the talent on this team?

I'm predicting a win. The team has played too well lately to lose another one - not at home against a team playing back-to-back.

I had no idea this game was 10 days ago... :D

But seriously, we all know that this team is capable of winning. There is a lot of talent on this team, they just haven't put together an entire game in a while. It's about time for a win and Indiana is just the team to do it against.

No, its not really my turn. Truthfully I just wanted it for 2 reasons. 1 is that it looked like no one else was going to and some might have wanted to talk about the game. 2nd and most importatntly, I see us going on a big run here and then I couldve claimed that I was the hero......lol

I know how. I promised not to talk about why for four more games.

Last game I started anew evaluating that person.

Predicting another close-one, Granger and Hibba were quiet last night, Collison could be a nightmare for us.

I gotta say, having watched the Pacers a bit this year and liking their front court, I really don't like Collison's total game despite his scoring skills. He might be the best squirrely little scorer in the league, but he's probably not as good of a playmaker as even T.J. Ford, particularly having problems in the halfcourt. He can penetrate well and part of it is just that he's a really tiny little guy who has tough angles to work with, but I think he hurts them more than helps when his shot's not falling. Note that Granger and Hibbert's scoring efficiency is pretty terrible this year.

They have good quickness, but it's probably a bottom 3 or 5 point guard situation for them as far as 48 minutes (they might work better uptempo). If Delonte hadn't gotten hurt, I think Nate Robinson and West is better even without Rondo.

I admit to not having seen much of Collison and I am strictly going by boxscore stats. Collison appears to be a penetrating guard who gets to the rim often judging by his FT numbers, his assist numbers are indeed poor.

Yeah, he can certainly penetrate and finish inside or shoot over people very nicely, but I guess the truth is I like Granger and Hibbert and feel they're getting let down by the lack of play making (it seems that he has a hard time passing the ball inside in particular).

Collison to me would probably be better in an uptempo system as a change of pace guy for 20-24 minutes, but if he gets hot he could score a lot of points against us, it's true.

I'll be at this game tonight with my Pops in the ESPN suite. Which I find funny b/c this game isn't on ESPN.

I'm just in no mans land with this team right now.

A general malaise has come over me. I hope that get it together but I wouldn't be surprised if they still struggle with line ups and style.

The NY excitement had me going for a while. Then with Howard getting added there was something to look forward to. Kirk was balln and running the offense well so that was nice to see. It was kind of cool seeing how all the pieces were coming together. The offense was looking smoother.

But now I'm just not feeling it. I worry about what happens next. Just seems like integrating Wall style ball with what was working pretty well is going to be a challenge.

I would rather the offense mainly be set up so that Nick is the first option or at least with him and Lewis being the #1 and #2 options with Dray and Howard being #3 and #4. For that, all you need is Kirk. He is probably better suited to set them up and fill in where he is needed. AT, Armstrong and Martin can play with this set up.

Wall is all over the place and is mostly a fast break/driving PG. It is a totally different style then what I think matches the most the players I listed above. I would rather he run with a group that is a match for what he does. McGee, Booker, and maybe Nick and Lewis.

I know Wall is supposed to be this amazing talent, but right now he is a rookie who plays out of control a lot of the time. One things that drives me nuts is how he doesn't seem to be able to pass the ball without actually seeing the player. This causes him to get his body in some crazy positions and he takes some crazy falls. He drives and then if he wants to pass baseline or even worse, back to the FT line, he literally twists his body 180 degrees to pass it out just before he crashes to the court.

Hopefully he can stay healthy this time and start to show signs of progress again. As of right now, I would keep him coming off the bench and run him with a fast break trapping D group. I think that is what would be best for the team. We could have two looks that are effective and they are two different styles so we can keep teams off balance.

Insider is reporting that Flip won't be coaching tonight due to a family emergency. I hope that everything is OK with Flips family, but I am thrilled to watch someone else coach this team tonight.

Hopefully that will mean no three guard-Blatche at C lineup tonight. I didn't understand the logic there at all. With Lewis/Howard/Thorton healthy there shouldn't be any 3 guard lineups, especially since there are so few guards on the roster.

Oh great, when the Wiz win (which I think they will tonight...they are due), I get the pleasure of seeing 20 posts about how the only reason they won was because Flip wasn't there.

Twenty or more is what they might win by. I hope all is well with Flip's family. The team will probably finish the game strong.
