Nick Young once again. One of the top shooting guards and pure shooters in the NBA

After that, it gets a little tough. AT and Yi really helped out a lot this game. Both brought the energy. Yi was even D ing up really well. And 5-5 FG was awesome. And AT has that strong body this team needs. When he is playing well, it really helps. 7 rebounds 4 assists was a nice touch.

McGee brought some energy also. 6 blocks and lots of rebounds. And while Dray missed some close shots, he did play with a really sore shoulder and still fought and rebounded.

Wall is still struggling. He still got his dimes though. Nice to have Nick on the other side of a pass though. I still think he is shooting to much. 10-11 shots is more than fine when your going 4-14 and at let two of those shots were are point blank range ( steal on the inbound and Nick feed him under the basket on a fast break) He has teammates shooting lot better than that.

He kind of got schooled again today. But he is a rookie. Still a talented kid.

Wow, great post game by Wall. Said his left hand is padded and sore and his left knee is bothering him still. Flip is asking him to be aggressive but he said he isn't that kind of PG. He isn't going to force it if he isn't feeling it. Good. I like hearing that. STFU Flip. Let him heal up and find his grove. When he is feeling it, he will unleash it again. He needs to pick his spots.

Team still make lots of mistakes but there were also lots of good plays they just couldn't finish. And they were ice cold on anything outside to start the game. Kirk had a really off shooting night. 1-8

1. Nick Young; No question whatsoever... He started 1-8, finished 10-19, 7-8ft's with 6rbs, 4ast, 1stl and just 1 to... Pretty amazing stat-line for him...

2. Al Thornton/Rashard Lewis; both played very efficient games and within their roles.. I might give AT the edge since he took it to the basket and finished with contact... Wouldn't mind keeping him around as our back-up SF...

3 McGee; 10pts, 13rbs & 6blks in 24 minutes... He's gradually getting more consistent...

HM: Yi, cause even though I hate his guts, he still finished 5-5;

Wall was kinda disappointing to watch tonight, and while some might be impressed in his post-game interview (didn't see it, just read what others said), I think it was kinda BS-y... If he is a lil banged up and play, no problem with me... Great even... But don't tell me that after that "taking over" and being aggressive as he did in Minni, that he's not that kinda PG...

What is selfish; he knows he can't consistently hit a jumpshot, or that his J's off, but still insists shooting them at the most improper times, momentum-killing at times... He needs to pick his spots, I agree, but he also needs to understand that his strengths are his speed in driving to the basket and finish/kick out, and if he can't do those things, he's not a net positive for the team... Cause his J still needs work and his D is still spotty...

Still love him though, hope he gets better soon...

1. Nick Young. The second-best game of his career. The best game of his career with respect to his passing. His defense was also very good. DeRozan had 7 points on 3-11 shooting and 2 turnovers in 34 minutes.

2. Andray Blatche. Andray played the best defense I've seen from him since the time he shut down Boozer. Whenever they ran the pick-and-roll against him, he stepped out and jammed up Calderon. Our team actually looked like they knew what they were doing when Blatche was the guy involved in defending the P&R. He was also battling for boards.

3. McGee. Fundamentally, he was terrible on defense yet again, but he made up for it with effort and length. It's just hard to argue with 11 boards and 6 blocks in 24 minutes.

Hey, of all the bad Wizard teams I have seen, at least this one has athletic players on it. I remember going like a ten year span without seeing hardly a dunk. Even when Gil was balln, he didn't dunk.

Now you have Wall, Nick, McGee, Lewis Those are some athletic players. Actually the whole team is pretty athletic. Sadly, Dray is the least athletic of the group.

It is kind of interesting to consider how good this team would be with:

Wall in year 3
McGee with 2 more years of seasoning
Howard healthy
Booker and Seraphin 2 years from now.

hands, this is a "just wait til next year" team. Wall and the other young athletes will improve. You are so right about at least this bad Wizard team is athletic. Wall needs to heal physically. So does Blatche. I believe Lewis at SF is making the team better. I feel Yi Jianlian might play to his potential the rest of his stay with Washington.
