http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/columns/story?columnist=sheridan_chris&id=6056149Article from Chris Sheridan that puts a bow on last night's game with the Knicks. Also relevant because it discusses the Nuggets situation wrt Melo. The hint being that if the Nuggets go 5-0 on thier roadtrip that begins tonight against the Wizards, they may be likely to call Carmelo's bluff and keep him. However, if they falter, and the Wizards beat them, it could propel a trade before the deadline.

this is another one of those Andray Blatche games. He killed them last year. If he plays well then we can win. If he sucks then we probably lose and maybe get embarrassed. Either way, Im guessing after Flip watched the film last night, he wont allow Dray to stay on the floor with such a crappy effort.
I wont completely go full bore on him like others did because there were some games when he showed up and others didnt and I also think over the course of the season there are going to be 1 or 2 games where you are just dead and cant do anything or even move for that matter. After all, we have played alot of games lately seemingly.
With that being said, Dray doesnt deserve to get the benefit of doubt in any situation so he better make amends for it tonight or he should be limited to 15min or less

Took this from Mike Prada's blog about the Knicks game.
Speaking of that "wacky" lineup: The Wizards got back into the game with a lineup of Mustafa Shakur, Al Thornton, Rashard Lewis, Trevor Booker and JaVale McGee. That lineup never saw the floor in the second half. In fact, if memory serves me, Booker and McGee never shared the court either.
Each game is different, but I'm for trying what works for longer streches of time. Flip will sometimes have a good thing going, but he doesn't ride it out as-long as he could.

I want this win bad, but I doubt I'm the only one. We are at home--this game is most definitely winnable. Our players should play with confidence, which will be beneficial. I expect good things from most of our players--especially Blatche and Young who both play a lot better at home than on the road.

We might win this comfortably. Considering how bad Denver is defensively, and how well we play at home, we could surprise them.
What I will be looking for is how Blatche will respond to last nights effort. I am one of the bigger Blatche supporters, but even I was screaming my lungs out during the game for Flip to take his ass out.
I will also be interested in seeing if Moose will continue to produce, especially considering he`ll have a worthy opponent in Ty Lawson coming off the other bench.

really? i have no more "will-to-win" this game any more than usual. in fact, even though the BOS game was less winnable? i think i wanted us to win ever MORE so because that's how much i dislike KG*
*the boston incarnation. the minny KG? tolerable.

I feel like all the good momentum from the Boston win was pissed away last night. Dray's comments on Wise today = bad juju. I smell blowout loss and a bad scene between Dray and the VC faithful.

Nick just needs to untie the rows. It's all about Nick's hair.
Nick Young decided that he needed to change something, so the night before, Blatche persuaded him to get his hair braided, thinking that a new look might yield a new result. Young scored a team-high 22 points, Wall added 18 points with nine assists, and JaVale McGee had 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Seriously. Until this team stops believing in the hair fairy, they are not going to grow to the level they need to be at.

All home games need to be postponed until this team can win on the road. I don't care if they beat the Lakers by 50 if it's @ Verizon.

Just as long as he doesn't go with the Marquis Daniels look, I'll trust Nick to do what he's gotta do.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 06665.htmlAfter the game, Blatche shrugged, explaining that he didn't get many touches early on. "I don't know what to tell you. I did what I do," he said. "It wasn't like I was out there doing crazy stuff. I played my game, man."
"It's no more excuses for us. It's either us getting the job done, or us being talked about as the team that can't win on the road," Wall said. "It's confidence. We right there throughout the whole game. But the last five minutes, it's like we don't play together no more. Until we lock down, play defense on the road, it's going to be the same results. And we can't feel sorry for ourselves."
When asked about Saunders's pep talk, Young said: "He was trying to get us fired up. It shouldn't have to take the coach to get us fired up every time. We have to take responsibility ourselves."
-----
I think we have heard this kind of stuff before. Time for Lewis to knock some heads to together. Well, figuratively that is. I was hoping he could help them get it together last game. He produced pretty well but some how he has to help more with getting them on the same page.
Once they get one of these road games as a win, they should loosen up some.

This is the game for NY to show that he's not "JR Smith Deaux" like all the fans from other teams call him. They still think he's just a no defense dummy gunner who has horrible shot selection and no good team would want him. They all hate his game because they still think he's the same guy. NY is not that guy for the most part anymore but at times he still shows flashes of being an idiot. Tonight against Jr Smith is when he should show the difference between them

So what's the over/under on bad ref calls tonight.
I was watched the replay of the Booker ball of Turiaf while going out of bounds play. Turiaf was still in bounds when the ball hit him. Booker was 4 ft out of bounds when the ball bounded of Turiaf and hit him but it was New York ball.
Seem about 8-10 terrible calls a game is the average.
I know even Boston thought they go bad call, which is kind of funny, but the Wiz have a long history of it. Only time it seems to stop is when you have a known established Star

Imagine that
Seems like this is a trend for him. So at what point does Flip take that mistake off his plate and just pull him after 1 foul. He doesn't seem to be able to manage it himself.

Awesome time out execution for a 3 sec call and well designed Lewis dribble off the leg. Way to go Flip.
