_____13-11 Home / 1-9 last 10 ______________________ 15-11 Home / 6-4 Last 10

Coming off of a loss to Gilbert Arenas and the visiting Orlando Magic, YOUR Washington Wizards strap it on for the second of a home back-to-back versus Southeast Conference rival Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks are also on the tail end of a back-to-back, having won on Friday night in a thrilling 1 point win versus the L.A. Clippers. Hawks F Al Horford took a nasty shot (Flagrant 1) from Clippers F Blake Griffin with 0.6 seconds left - and his subsequent free throws proved to be the margin of victory. Don't know as I write this if Horford will have any lingering effects from the landing awkwardly after getting fouled, but he was gimpy while shooting his FTs.

YOUR Washington Wizards limp into the contest the winners of just one of their last 10 games. Rookie F Trevor Booker had a good game for your Wizards in Friday night's loss. G Kirk Hinrich had a good second half coming off of the bench.

It would appear that the game will come down to two factors - (1) Can the Wizards front line match-up with the Hawks'? (2) Can Kirk Hinrich slow down Jamal Crawford?

Saturday night in the District. All of the young men and ladies be looking fine at the phone booth to catch the game before hitting the clubs. Can YOUR Wizards find the juju to come up with a win at home?

The Ones to Watch

Image__Image

________Wizards G Kirk Hinrich______________________Hawks G Jamal Crawford

The battle of reserve guards, Hinrich vs Crawford / defense vs offense may very well be key to the game.

-- Can the Wizards turn around a bad patch and get a win versus a Southeast Conference rival?
-- Which team will win the battle of the boards and points in the paint?
-- Can Hinrich's D slow down Crawford's offensive prowess?

To be fair NBA TV doesn't really have the same cachet as TNT or ESPN. But I don't expect them to match up well against the Hawks.

The Hawks' bigs embarrassed us last time. It was one of our worst performances of the season. I hope we don't have to watch another shameful performance tonight. Somebody tell McGee to wake up and start playing like he did in December.

Bibby is in a slump right now. Most of the season he has been money from 3 but lately he can't buy one. If he isn't hitting open 3s he is pretty much worthless and his backup Teague sucks.

The Hawks rely heavily on jump shooting. they are second to last in the league in foul shot attempts.

Seriously. I wonder if Horford sits tonight after the nasty spill he took en route to winning it for the Hawks last night.

.

And in the all-important battle of the dance team representatives, submitted for your review are:

Wizards Girl Javai

Javai is a second year veteran with the Wizards girls. She one held a job giving elevator tours of the Washington Monument. Her favorite movie is that chick flick The Notebook. She has never had milk and cereal in her life. Her favorite book is The Bible.

Hawks Cheerleader Juliana

Juliana holds a Bachelor of Science degree from VA Tech in Human Nutrition/Food and Exercise. She's both an licensed EMT in Georgia as well as an IFBB Bikini Professional competitor. (That's so not fair). Her friends describe her as a free spirit.

---------------------------

Uh oh, I have a bad feeling about tonight's game. Juliana's got some skillz.

Ummm, let's go Wiz?

Oh and preemptive warning fellow board members.

Anybody complain about the cheerleader photos, above, and I swear I'm gonna go back to posting Luv-a-Bull photos in every game thread.

You've been warned.

Horford is the guy the Hawks really can't afford to lose. All of the backup bigs are garbage.

Pachulia outplayed McGee at both ends.

At the same time Blatche offered nothing but his usual ball stopping and over-dribbling, followed by a miss.
