THE ONE TO WATCH

Image
Bulls F Carlos Boozer

Boozer sprained his ankle last week after absorbing a flagrant foul. By of all people, Kwame "Freaking" Brown. He's due back soon. If he plays, Kurt Thomas starts the game on the bench and Joakim Noah starts at center. This is the Bulls best line-up.

Any chance the Wiz lose by less than 25 points?

Boozer is VERY unlikely to play.

Which is more likely, Wiz lose by <25, or insecure Bulls fans bombard the thread to trash John Wall because any time they trash another PG they intrinsically praise Rose?

The Wizards are performing a valuable service, not only are our rookies/bench-players getting lots of playing time, our opponents also get an opportunity to rest their starters and get their rookies/benchers some burn during the blowouts. :)

I would have predicted a 35 point loss, but thanks to our good luck charm, I'm feeling optimistic.

We'll only lose by 25.

Damn, that's the woman from Mad Men. She's incredibly hot.

Wizards get blown out.

For some reason, Bulls struggle against teams with injuries. They tend to play down to the competition (no offense), and instead of blowing out opponents, get into a dog fight.

The way the Wizards are playing now it will be a struggle for the Bulls to play down to their level.

Don't worry, Morten. The Wizards are not just a mildly injured, decent team. We're a bottom five team when healthy, and now we're missing two of our starters (Blatche and Lewis), our would-be 6th man (Howard) is so injured that he's hurting us by playing, and our 2nd-best player this year (Young) is playing at 75% because of a bum knee. Also, McGee has regressed big time and has become a routine embarrassment.

To put it in perspective, 4 of the top 6 Wizards you will see tonight are rookies (Wall, Booker, Crawford, Seraphin). We can't beat anybody at home. We have no hope against a top notch team like Chicago on the road. I honestly think we would lose even if you sat all your starters for the entire game.

We may be missing Noah tonight too. So this should get interesting.

It won't be, though. It really won't be.

What I want out of this game is a dominant performance by Wall. I could care less about the win. I want a triple double or a 30 point outing out of him. Without their big men, it is possible he could get some easy looks since Rose is not the best defender. The problem is that Thomas and Gibson are still capable of clogging the lane--Wall's only vessel to score in.

But THEIR back ups. . . I can see Wall scoring some serious points against the second unit.

Our second unit has been the best defensive unit in the league. If Noah plays, our defensive unit of CJ Watson, Ronnie Brewer, one of Deng and Korver, Gibson, and Asik will really be incredibly tough to score on. If it's weakened by Noah's absence, so Gibson or Asik have to start, that may lead to some problems.

We haven't stopped anybody all year.

Unless the Bulls develop a case of team food poisoning based on their pregame meal --

I would have liked to have seen Booker match up with Boozer, as that's the sort of matchup I'm concerned about from him. I have no idea how he'll do against Noah; iirc, Noah isn't actually that big, standing reach comparable to Booker.

Gingers make me uncomfortable.
