I have to say.
There was a lot of Ji-like action on the part of Nate to rush in and ensure he created this game thread.
All to ensure that the Wizards' tanking action would be temporarily put off track and we'd lose a ping pong ball.
This is the kind of stuff, Nate, that will ensure we're picking 6th in the draft.
Thanks a lot, Nate. Really appreciate it.

Voted for McGee. Efficiency over accumulated numbers. Blatche #2 for the boards, Crawford #3.

Cro. Triple Double for the rook. Great game from Blatche, but JCro showed some serious PG skills without Wall there.

I vote for Ernie Grunfeld.
He robbed the Atlanta Hawks without a gun or a mask when he stole Jordan Crawford.

I went for Crawford. Triple-double and he surprised me tonight. I thought he would try to come out and get a win by scoring 50 points, but he played like a point guard tonight. He outplayed Baron Davis, which isn't as easy as you'd think -- Crawford's a rookie with very little experience at the point.
Good game by Javale McGee. Blatche needs to be more efficient offensively, but I loved his rebounding. More good stuff from Othyus Jeffers.

I really have become the new Ji, haven't I?
What sucks is that I have to start another game thread. God only knows what kind of damage I could do.

My heart says to vote for Crawford, but I'm going to give the game ball to Blatche, mostly to counteract the hate. Blatche needs to be rewarded when he plays well.
1. Blatche
2. Crawford
3. McGee

Team
No way you win a game this short handed without EG, Flip and players all getting it done together.
If I was to select a player. Hard call between the Craw and Dray with McGee a close third.

How did McGee play? Smart and under control? I want to see his recent form become standard is all.

mcgee played great. his offensive game is really starting to improve. he showed a variety of post moves and looked under control on all his shot attempts.

IIRC
Two back to back moves to the sky hook. First went in. The second missed. Dray reb for 2
Nice to see Flip or Craw going to back to back moves when the first move is solid and successful. I think I saw them do this same type of thing last game. I want to see more of that trend. If it works, go back to it and make them adjust then play off of that. That is coaching and that is when you really get to see a system at work.
Second impressive move was how he patiently moved around ever so subtly to get the defender at a disadvantage before he set him up to the drop step. Only now his post moves are going toward the basket instead of some strange looking leaning shot. He also pulled up about 5-6 ft away and released it high for two.
McGee is looking a lot better on these moves the last 2-3 games.

It is only the beginning. I really believe McGee is going to become a good to great offensive player.
His hook will be hard to stop. He's already a decent face up shooter from 6-8 feet and I expect will pretty quickly start hitting the shot from 8-12 feet consistently.
Once his midrange game is respected for the hook and him facing up, his dribble drive will become effective against slower bigs and his speed after one power dribble will get him dunks. McGee has a good handle for a guy his size and he's probably the best dunker in the league.
The coup de grace for finishing his opponents will be when Javale can hit 75% of his FTs or better. Instead of going to the line 4 or 5 times a game at 60%, which results in 2.5 or 3 points; if he goes to the line 8 times a game at 75% that's 6 points. The team raises its scoring by three points. Not to mention how much easier things will be for Wall, Young, Crawford, Blatche, etc because McGee's adding pressure to opponents.
I foresee McGee averaging over 20 PPG in as little as 2 seasons. He is an efficient scorer with increasing usage--seemingly getting better and better each game.

He had a couple of boneheaded moves, but for the most part... I was shocked at his selection of post moves
if he can just get a little stronger on his lower body, he will be a dominant force in the low post... his hook shot is unstoppable because his arms are way too freaking long... JaVale needs to work on his touch, but the improvement he is making in the paint is amazing from where he was a month or two ago.
