This game presents a big problem for Wizards' board tank commanders. Who to root for?
Hope that the Wiz prevail and try and knock the Hawks' record down a bit so the second of Washington's first round picks is a little higher? Or hope for a loss and keep hope alive for the third largest number of ping pong balls with the Wiz's first pick?
Board members who are among the board's armor battalion, weigh in on your choice, above.
Okay...that being said, YOUR Washington Wizards return home for their fourth game in five nights against Southeast Division rival Atlanta Hawks. Both teams are coming off of road losses last night - the Wiz going down to defeat at the hands of the Cs last night in Beantown, the Hawks losing at Indy by 12.
The Wizards' injury woes have already been well-documented. Out are F Rashard Lewis, F Josh Howard, G/F Nick Young, F Trevor Booker, and C Hamidy N'Daiye.
The Hawks will be without F Josh Smith and C Jason Collins. G Joe Johnson will (should?) play, despite nursing a wrist and thumb injuries that have bothered him for a while.
The game also marks the return to DC of G Kirk Hinrich and C Hilton Armstrong - who were traded to Atlanta for F Mo Evans, G Mike Bibby (who was later bought out), G Jordan Crawford and the Hawks' #1 pick next season. Also on Atlanta's roster is former Wizards C Etan Thomas.
Counting this game, three more left in the Wizards season. The Wiz kids, with their NBDL-heavy roster, have been playing with more energy and passion lately. Can they find a way to win at home?
