Do you think if the Wizards offered Blatche and Kevin for David West???

The Hornets would get a sign-n-trade deal done allowing them to get players in return for somebody (David) they prolly will lose anyway...

I was going to say that this doesn't deserve it's own thread, but I gotta admit, we don't really have an obvious slot for "Hey, let's trade for a 31 year old power forward who just blew out his ACL and who's also a free agent that we could just try and sign anyway if we wanted to, which we don't" suggestions.

I think this is not better than the #4, #18, Lewis' contract, and Blatche for Pau and Blake. Pau's the same age as West along with being bigger, better, and right now healthier. You proposed this trade around the same time as the other was proposed.

It would be one to consider if not for West's ACL and FA status.

David West has a player option and he may not opt out due to the labor uncertainty. Plus, we are not the Suns, out medical staff will ruin his recovery.

Screw this trade. John Wall for West makes more sense.
